I found it depressing. Was surprised that Banjo liked it. Maybe some houses don’t’ come across well on tv. I’m still watching the Irish version of the show on utube ( there are numerous series to watch and all the houses are lovely) and there’s also a bungalow version of it, too. I can’t get enough of these programmes!
Saw Ep 2 last night - 3 very different houses. Surprised at the outcome - thought the middle house would win. Lovely setting gs for all three though - beautiful area.
I couldn’t live in the winning house. Disliked so many things about it.
No, I agree MayBee70 - a place to feature in a magazine, but not to live in. Whereas, the family obviously lived happily in the big White House. The other house - the gothic one - was very quirky!

Just finished episode 1. Winner is def not my way of living but I don't have the knowledge or taste that the panel do. Thought the first one in Craiglockart was amazing, just so nice, def my choice. Will watch next episode soon. I may have different taste to the panel but for normal I can always pick the one the panel are going to pick and it's normally for quirkiness that it's chosen.

The houses are amazing but I always wonder, where do you keep your 'stuff'?
Never seen a dustpan and brush or a vacuum cleaner. Re the third house, I don’t understand people wanting a bath in their bedroom but a bathroom with loo in the same room seems well weird; would I really want someone hear me going to the toilet in the bedroom in the night or, probably even worse in the morning ?
Oh, I do agree about the loo and the bath in the bedroom - I had though there was a big door there!

New series started last night. Mind you I’m still watching Ireland Home of the Year as there are several seasons on utube so I can dive in and watch endlessly.
