What a beautiful voice she had. I bought several Clannad albums back in the day, along with Enya, and at the time they used to do the music for many tv series. So her voice takes me back to the wonderful years when my children were young.

So sad, what a gift she had. Most beautiful music.

She had a wonderful voice . I wouldn’t have thought she was very old, very sad.

RIP Amazing music, my (Irish) DH favourite and also used at my SiL funeral back in 2000.

Younger than me, that is no age.
Beautiful voice, so clear and haunting.
Their music always calms me.
Thoughts are with her loved ones 💐

I believe Enya was her sister. A family blessed with musical gifts.

I loved Clannad as did my Irish mother and family. So sad, she had a beautiful voice. So many people in the arts and music field dying at what seems like a young age. Terrible.

Oh crikey. I’d forgotten that even though it’s one of my favourite films of all time! I loved the soundtrack. It should have won the Oscar but was beaten by that Australian film about ballroom dancing.

MayBee70 - yes it should! an outstanding soundtrack,
with the drums and fifes, atmospheric, plaintive, eerie.

For some reason I have the dvd but never watch it. However, when it’s on tv I stop what I’m doing and have to watch it even though I usually watch everything on catchup. Thankfully I did see it at the cinema when it first came out.
