Moyà Brennan of Clannad has died…

For some reason I have the dvd but never watch it. However, when it’s on tv I stop what I’m doing and have to watch it even though I usually watch everything on catchup. Thankfully I did see it at the cinema when it first came out.

Oh crikey. I’d forgotten that even though it’s one of my favourite films of all time! I loved the soundtrack. It should have won the Oscar but was beaten by that Australian film about ballroom dancing.

I loved Clannad as did my Irish mother and family. So sad, she had a beautiful voice. So many people in the arts and music field dying at what seems like a young age. Terrible.

I believe Enya was her sister. A family blessed with musical gifts.

RIP Amazing music, my (Irish) DH favourite and also used at my SiL funeral back in 2000.

She had a wonderful voice . I wouldn’t have thought she was very old, very sad.

So sad, what a gift she had. Most beautiful music.
