What a disappointment to read that Loose Women has had their slot reduced. I record it so that I can watch it when I want, and also I don’t have to watch anything I’m not interested in I just rush it through. There is such trash on the television these days!

I always joke with my family that if I was taken hostage by terrorists the worst torture they could inflict on me would be to force me to watch Loose Women on a loop

I don't watch any of the "celebrity" type shows, whether they're chatting or performing in some way, they're just of no interest to many of us.

A real celebrity to me is someone who has succeeded as an actor, entertainer, musician, sports personality or author. Celebtity nowadays seems to be mean someone who has appeared on a reality show, was in a soap for a couple of years, or was a glamour model years ago.

Stopped watching it many yers ago, because I couldn’t stand Lorraine Kelly.

Tv is mostly all repeats, game or reality shows. It's horrendous.

If you're talking about ITV, the only things I watch that they show are some of the 9pm dramas, the drama repeats on ITV3, and their racing coverage. Also I tune into the local news if something important has happened near me. Othewrise, it's lowest common denominator television with the same old shows every day.

A tired vehicle for tired Celebrities (whatever the definition is?) to chit-chat over the garden fence......

And be re-packaged as "Loose Silly Women".

I don't really like it, and I don't really like the concept - a panel of women, often (though not always) discussing trivialities and reinforcing, I think, the stereotype of women not being equipped to discuss serious political issues.

Bit sweeping JdotJ if there are people out there who still enjoy it why not keep it going? There are loads of programmes I never watch and can't stand but I don't want to cancel them. Live and let live.

Commercial tv stations earn money from advertising.
No viewers = no revenue. It’s business 🤷‍♀️

I did try and persevere when it started out but I got fed up with some of the women saying how hard up financially they were or how difficult working life was for them . They forgot to add that they earned large payments to appear on TV, free hair cuts , make up and often dined out at someone else expense . Child care was hard and they were exhausted because they forgot to say the cleaner only did 2 hours cleaning instead of a full day. They pretended they had normal stressful lack of money lifes just like ordinary people have . They forgot to say they had private medical / hospital / dentists and said how long the NHS waiting list was . Sadly their struggles got on my nerves so stopped watching years ago .

Oops! I think I have posted in the wrong place!
Like my parking.😂

Musky17 Wed 22-Apr-26 10:40:54

Assisted Parking Function. Has anyone got this option in their car, whereby you let go of the steering wheel at one point and just operate the accelerator and brake? Do you regularly use it for parallel and bay parking? Also to get you out of a tight spot when someone has boxed you in? I’ve had my car for almost 9 years and have tried/ trusted it twice. Obviously you can stop the automatic function and take over the manoeuvres at any point.

I don't watch it, but why do people need to put down the choices of others who do?

The OP must wish she hadn't bothered posting - a choice of TV show is hardly a controversial thing, but she has been roundly put down. TV is entertainment, and people's idea on what is entertaining vary - so what? I enjoy both Corrie and Big Brother, and have been told in no uncertain terms on here that both are rubbish and only for the unintelligent and uneducated. I may be either or both, but at least I'm not narrow minded enough to judge people based on their TV preferences or rude enough to tell them their choices are rubbish.

It is one of those programmes I thought I ought to like and I wanted to like. However, having dipped in occasionally over the years, I have never been able to watch an entire episode.

Personally, if it was taken off air tomorrow I wouldn't notice but if it still has a reasonably sized audience who still enjoy it it should still air.

inishowen Wed 22-Apr-26 08:42:17

I actually enjoyed it. It was something to watch while I ate my lunch. Jane Moore, Janet Street Porter and Christine Lampart were my favourites.

JPB123 Tue 21-Apr-26 21:20:47

I think it’s absolute rubbish.

gransruleok Tue 21-Apr-26 18:48:30

Well Sarnia, I do enjoy some of the topics discussed - but I have never seen Katie Price on Loose Women - not even as a passing guest.

Greciangirl Tue 21-Apr-26 15:27:06

It’s been taken of permanently now, and has been for some time.

Katie Price appeared on it a long time ago.

I think some of you are a bit out of touch now.

Grandmotherto8 Tue 21-Apr-26 15:12:27

Goodness, do people actually waste their valuable time watching these vapid women spouting nonsense? Proud to say I have not watched the programme for years, having inadvertently watched it once and been shocked at the poor quality of argument. Masterminds they ain't! The show is obviously on the way out as has been shortened and no longer has a live audience, there's hope yet.

TerriBull Tue 21-Apr-26 15:05:03

I've only caught it occasionally, and agree with you Barbadosbelle, JSP and JM were the only women that had anything to say that was half worth listening to, maybe because they've both had a journalistic background The others come across as self absorbed, often vacuous and not particularly interesting. Maybe because they're reminiscent of similar we may have encountered in real life, who deliver a monologue in the vein of "it's all about me, I just talk about myself, my life, my kids, my significant other/s, house, my mental health, my addictions etc."

Bad enough in real life without actually watching it.

sixandahalf Tue 21-Apr-26 15:00:33

Sometimes, if I'm ill, I switch on the TV.
Think my record is about 3 minutes before I switch it off.
