This is a 2018 film but it somehow passed me by.
Brilliant performances from Sheridan Smith, Alison Steadman, and Sinéad Keenan.
It's sure to resonate with anyone who cares, or has cared, for, a loved one. I almost turned it off after 20 minutes as I wasn't sure I wanted to deal with it, but with the help of a box of tissues, I'm so glad I made it to the end. A difficult but compelling watch.
So yes, I would recommend it, but arm yourself with kleenex and don't watch it on a day when your caring duties have been more difficult or challenging than usual.
But it really is worth the watch, it genuinely captures so much of the emotions and the frustrations of caring.
National treasures. Who would you choose?
What was dental care like in your childhood ?
