I'll statt with one who not many people will know unless they follow horse racing. Megan Nicholls, daughter of trainer Paul, is only 27, but her knowledge of the sport is amazing, she is a real professional, and likes to have a laugh. Also she has another career modelling clothers for events like Royal Ascot and is probably one of the best looking women on teleivision.

I like Paul Martin, Gabby Logan, Alan Carr currently.

I like Graham Norton
I never used to, but he's grown on me.

One a very beloved champion for nature and the environment and the other a climate change denier and anti vaxer.

Interesting choices, one a beloved champion of nature and the environment and the other a climate change denier and anti vaxer.

Prepared to be shot down in flames but I love Ant and Dec, Rylan, Susan Calman, Jane McDonald, Alison Hammond and Davina McCall. My favourite newsreader was George Alagiyah, I do miss him. Local to me we have Peter Levy and Paul Hudson who are fabulous.

My daughter loved George Alagiya, too.
She said he always seemed such a kind, gentle man.

I was quite surprised.

Claudia.

But one person tops them all for me - Terry Wogan. Don't think anyone will ever better him when it comes to Eurovision.

Terry was one of the greats of tv and radio.

MissAdventure Mon 11-May-26 22:37:00

Sir Tel, we salute you.

Bukkie Mon 11-May-26 23:36:23

Sir Terry was the best radio presenter ever. You could tell who was listening whilst stuck in a traffic jam from the laughter on the other commuters faces.

I loved itv when he would tslk about Jimmy Young being pushed along in his bathchair.
A feeble shadow of a man... grin

His poems. "Oh Vitas Gueralitis, in your shorts all nice and whitus...

Ben Shepherd and Richard Madely, simply because of their ability to make live TV easy. I’ve been in the green room with Ben but would never dream to approach him. Was just happy to watch. I worked in TV for a while but in the office.

I really like the Anglia News team of Becky Jago and David Whiteley. Of course David Attenborough is brilliant

AskAlice Tue 12-May-26 19:30:14

Claudia Winkleman has found her niche and nailed it. Not for everyone, I know, but I love watching her on Traitors and also thought she was brilliant on The Great British Sewing Bee.

The other female presenter I like watching is Lucy Worsley. Brings history to life and very watchable. The only thing that irritates me about her is the silly hair clips she puts in her hair to hold her fringe to one side - surely a bit of hairspray would do the same job!

I can’t wait to see Amol Rajan and Ramesh on Celebrity Traitors.

Cossy Tue 12-May-26 19:48:02

Sara Cox (I like her bonkersness)
Ben Fogle
Sir David
Steve Backshall
Claudia
Clive Myrie
And madly Michael Portillo and all his railway journeys.

Cossy Tue 12-May-26 19:49:29

Oh and of course the great Sir Terry, sometimes I absolutely thought I’d wet myself laughing.

MollyNew Wed 13-May-26 10:40:38

Michael Portillo's railway journey programmes are excellent, he is a very good communicator and doesn't just show the touristy aspect of the countries he visits.

I also watched The Art of Scandanavia on BBC4 this week. I hadn't seen Andrew Graham-Dixon on tv for a while and I'd forgotten how interesting his programmes are.

Basgetti Wed 13-May-26 11:50:31

Amol Rajan, Martine Croxall, Reeta Chakrabatti, Helen Lewis, Lucy Worsley, Alice Roberts, Clive Myrie, Ian Hislop.

Richard Osman has come on leaps and bounds since he left Pointless and created his own game show.
Also Robson Green's documentaries about the coast have shown he's more than an actor and a singer.

Curlywhirly Thu 21-May-26 15:56:15

David Olusoga - his voice is so gentle, it's almost hypnotic 😴
Also love Lucy Worsley's history programmes, she's so 'unstuffy' and makes history come to life with her (sometimes outrageous) historical costumes - a historian with a wry sense of humour.

Neil Oliver and David Attenborough?
Climate denier and planet protector! Wow!

I wonder what made Neil change his tune?

EllieAnne Thu 21-May-26 18:16:43

Not a fan of Alison Hammond. I like Ant and Dec . Alan Carr is growing on me and Bradley Walsh is good on blankety blank.

I also really like Rob Brydon on Would I Lie To You.

Lee Mack, David Mitchell and Rob Brydon together frequently leave me with tears running down my cheeks.

If you can, try to get to see the live recording of the show.
From the moment they walk out until the end, the hilarity never stops 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Three and a half hours of it on the day we went in series 18.
Easily the funniest night of my life.
