A place to call home on Amazon Prime.

I quite enjoy Four In A Bed, as you get a wide variety of guest house owners who can be real characters. It's a nice way to relax into Saturday evening.

Escape to the country
Money for nothing ( we must be due for a new series)
Canal boat diaries
and on Youtube, Living the Skye Life

I watch living the Skye Life, too.
I used to enjoy "she walks, she paints" too

Sometimes at night if I can’t sleep, or to wind down, I put on The Turkish rug cleaner on YouTube.
People bring their manky (some are black with muck) family sized rugs.
The end results are astonishing, as you can see the lovely colours of what was beautiful silk, Persian rug when it was new.

Drama though for me, was upstairs, downstairs. I really enjoyed it once it got going.

I loved that back in the day.

I can't find it anywhere MT62, but I would relish it if it were broadcast again. One cast member, sadly cannot remember her name, played a wife in the series and she is in Not Going Out with Lee Mack, playing his Mother in Law. She was beautiful back in the day, and she still is, amazing twinkly blue eyes.

It was Deborah Grant, who I was referring to on Bouquet of Barbed Wire.

Old episodes of “Hornblower”. Ioan Gruffudd I could watch all day with the sound turned down, but they’re exciting stories and the good guys always come through in the end.

Foyles War.

“The Birds”, which I have watched three times now and it is absolutely mesmeric. Beautiful photography, and amazing subject matter. Still on iPlayer.

Repair Shop (preferably with less of Jay Blades).

Canal diaries with Robbie Cummins, - used to go canalling myself and lots of memories and pleasure in seeing places I used to visit, and in this weather cooling to watch.

Countryfile and some of Gardeners world, which I have watched for years.

In the winter time , I love to watch good old things like the Railway Children, and the very old 39 Steps , and Casablanca, which I used to watch with my husband.

At any time I love to watch The Good Life, which never seems out of date, and the other one I love is the great "Yes Minister" and"Yes Prime Minister" Paul Eddington - who of course used to be Jerry in the good life, plays the minister with a wonderful cast including Nigel Hawthorne whose wonderful speeches and expressions, combined with Derek Foulds as the innocent naive secretary, are so well done. I think they were made 30 or more years ago, but so brilliant and up to date , they could have been made yesterday. How marvellous they are to get their messages across without needing to constantly be swearing . How lovely that they are still there to enjoy .

Another vote for Death in Paradise. Although there’s always a murder the programme is light hearted with lovely scenery.

I do also have two lovely cd's that are really lovely and calming., that I used to take when doing hospital car trips. One is the sound of a river from its start as a little trickle and goes on over waterfalls etc. (Not advisable for use with men on long trips with no available loos!) The other one is just a lovely cd of bird song and the breeze. Peaceful, calming and soothing. You might find something on youtube that suited.

All Creatures Great and Small. We were worried it wouldn't be as good as the original but it is and in our opinion better. We just wish it was on all year round.

Robbie’s new series is on Monday nights at 9pm ( can’t remember the channel) but I keep forgetting to watch it. It is repeated on utube though.

A while ago I found a gentle comedy series on BBC called “Trying”. Very funny and warm, about a couple trying to adopt.

Stars Rafe Spall and his real-life partner, Esther Smith. Great cast. BBC bought it from Apple TV, but there are more series of it to come, I hope🤞🏼
