Penelope Keith has died.

She was amazing in The Good Life and To The Manor Born.
Preferred her and Paul Eddington to Felicity Kendall and Richard Briers. Much funnier imho.
Thoughts are with her loved ones 💐💐

The first words I said when I heard the news were " Oh no, not Margot" She played her to perfection.

Agree. The good life wouldn’t have been funny at all if it wasn’t for Penelope Keith.

“Cheque book please, Jerry”.

Oh my, you can just hear her voice saying that can't you. 😂💐

Remember the scene with the council official in the council office, and how she put him in his place? My favourite I think.

“I am the silent majority!”

RIP a very special lady 💐

We are watching a Channel 5 programme about The Good Life at the moment

She will always be Margot to me. But like the great Patricia Routledge please don't call this wonderful lady an actor, it is so disrespectful. She was an actress.

Actress Penelope Keith has died, I can hardly believe it. Thank you for all the wonderful laughs you gave to so many of us. 💐

Can I just give you one more laugh, or at least one more thought.

Just imagine Penelope, or Margo, as our Prime Minister. She would sort the country out in a heartbeat. 👸👍😂

I once heard her saying that all her clothes as Margo came from Harrods and the other 10% of the costume budget was spent on the other three.

That's sad - a very good and likeable actress. RIP

So sad, I can see her laughing, it was enough without even hearing what was said! Lovely Margot and Audrey. RIP Penelope.

She was wonderfully funny in the Good Life. Felicity Kendall is the last of the four. It must feel horrible.

'Executive Stress' is another very good sit com she headed and can be watched on you tube for free, just search the title

The Xmas episode of 'The Good Life' was the very best - when Tom's paper hats, made out of old newspaper, elicited a righteous protest from Margot when she saw what hers was: "this is the Daily Mirror!!!"

So Tom swapped with her because he had The Telegraph. Then she was happy.

5 stars!

Yes. Correct.

And please don't use the title "National Treasure" which is thrown around very randomly.

Amanda Holden has been described thus. And she is certainly not on the level of Penelope Keith.

A lot of theatricals now prefer ‘actor’ for all, to promote inclusivity, as it’s ‘gender neutral’.

I know, I know.
