New thread.

And of course, after the ❤️❤️ emojis from Ryan, Sarah will assume he is the daddy, ….. and so the soap opera continues.

Has Bethany actually had sex with Ryan though? I didn’t think so.

A minor detail, of course.

Tyrone please stand up to your horrible dad. Fizz can see right through him.

Clawdy Thu 22-Oct-26 14:46:52

Hopefully Fizz will sort him out, but probably not for ages. He's so revolting, as if Tracy would look twice at him, that's so unbelievable.

Aveline Thu 22-Oct-26 15:36:22

Yup. He's turning into a real old school bad guy. I hope Fizz sorts him out very soon (but doubt she will).
BTW I wonder what the big Christmas drama will be this year? Sarah Lou tying the knot with Kit? Bethany baby drama? Evelyn qualifying as a lawyer and joining the law firm? Betsy walking again? Any other suggestions?

BlueBelle Thu 22-Oct-26 15:57:52

Maybe the biggy will be finding Cassie tied up somewhere or maybe dead What an awful man surely Tyrone will see through him soon or is he going to hurt one of the children before Tyrone twigs

It was too much to expect 2 weeks of Corrie without interruption. I hope tomorrow will be normal.

Ronnie’s attitude to his wife seems odd. Wonder how that is going to pan out.Mind you that flat they live in is decorated to unhinge the mind.

Calendargirl Sat 24-Oct-26 07:35:26

Sorry to say I’m getting rather fed up with Debbie.

Why has that Paula from prison been brought in?

Also fed up with so many prison scenes. Just so boring and unlike (most people’s) life.

Am sure Ross’s wig is a new one, less ‘wig like’.

To be quite honest I haven't understood most of this week. I am neither young or on social media. I too doubt the target audience watches Corrie. The young actress who plays Betsy has played the part brilliantly though. As for Kit, I think he is going to get Sarah's phone cleared but keep evidence to set up Gary.

I don't know anyone under 40 who watches Coronation St and most younger people have other things to watch. I'd imagine a message about pregnancy would work better on Hollyoaks.
Anyway, a bit more on topic, has anyone watched Coronation St since it started in 1960? My mother was 15 when it started and remembers how most people thought it wouldn't last and the papers being hostile. Yet steadily it gained an audience and it's still here 66 years later.

Debbie is just irritating. Also, why is she so very shiny?
Her flat must be extremely stressful for poor Ronnie and Carl to live in.

Lovetopaint037 Sun 25-Oct-26 10:13:10

Yes Debbie is becoming really irritating. That flat is ridiculous and gives me a potential headache whenever I see it. Also anyone with dementia must be less than comforted by the overacting that is taking place.

Calendargirl Sun 25-Oct-26 10:13:33

Abi also went through a ‘shiny’ phase, not sure if she still is.

Debbie’s flat is ghastly.

Cumbrianmale56, I have been watching Coronation Street faithfully since 1960 when I was 10 years old.Never missed an episode apart from a few years when I moved to Canada and it wasn’t showing here.Imagine my excitement when it came to Canada.
We are usually two to three weeks behind the UK with the story lines so I love to come to this thread and check out what mad story is coming next.I have to agree with others who say it’s not the same as the old days and there so many bag guys and silly story lines but still I remain faithful fan. Please script writers, get rid of Jodie and Ross!

Maggiemaybe Sun 25-Oct-26 17:50:27

I’ve just noticed that there’s an episode on tonight. It’s been ousted by football again on Wednesday though.

How on earth would Ronnie know that Adam's dad (Mike Baldwin) had dementia?

Dylis

How on earth would Ronnie know that Adam's dad (Mike Baldwin) had dementia?

Aha! I noticed that too and thought the same.

Poor Debbie, this storyline is a hard watch...

Please Corrie writers/producers could we have less prison scenes!

Regarding Debbie's dementia story, it may well be irritating/annoying but people with this disease do not go gently into the good night. Their behaviour can be erratic, strange, emotional etc especially in the the early stages. No sugar coating for Debbie.

Aveline Mon 26-Oct-26 17:43:19

True. I suppose it's more irritating because Debbie was always OTT.
