The Chase

The format of the game is such that the chances of the team winning are slim. Even with a decent team they still lose vital seconds tripping over one another and hesitating before someone says pass. I’d go big in the head to head just to make it worthwhile if we did win.

I'd rather play Beat the Chasers because then it’s they who are tripping over one another. Far better chance of winning.

I can't watch this show without having a bit of a hissy fit, much to my shame. The reason being, is because I cannot, cannot stand watching or listening to that Chaser, with the livd dyed- red hair,; who obviously thinks she's God's gift to Mankind!
The other's are fine though & Bradley is a natural, easy presenter.

No she doesn't, it's you interpreting it wrong, they are all given a personality, the beast nasty, sinnerman funny, dark destroyer singing, anne school marm, jenny with the red hair friendly, the only one without a personality is Darragh tthe scientific non scientist, he cleans the lab

Jenny Ryan the Vixen is lovely. I like all the chasers. Mark The Beast doesn't like to be beaten but has mellowed recently. Tipping Point is my favourite quiz.

I watch The Chase in Australia and we also have an Australian version that has The Governess on it and The Beast as well as Australian Chasers.
I agree with ILoveDogs22 about The Vixen, she is our least favourite Chaser.
Our pet peeve is when a contestant gets back to the desk with good money and another contestant will take the low offer, in other words the earlier contestant has done the hard work and the latest contestant is taking the easier option. To us, that’s not fair, irrespective whether they win the prize pool or not.
I’ve also often wondered what the criteria is for getting on the show. I’m interested in that. Not that I would go on, but contestants must have to pass some sort of test.

Yes I love the Governess and the Vixen.
Bradley is always an excellent presenter who puts contestants at ease and teases the chasers. But I would not go on any television show to save my life, good luck to those that do but I would absolutely hate it.

Darragh is my favourite Chaser. I would probably go middle if I was on the show.

I think the criteria for getting on the show is a quirky look or personality. Certainly not general knowledge judging by some of the answers contestants give! I like to think I have reasonably good general knowledge but I know if I went on there, or any quiz show, my brain would freeze and I’d forget my own name!

I would have rather played Beat the Clock with Bruce Forsyth on Saturday Night at the London Palladium back in the day.

Awful boring quiz show. Tenth rate drivel.

Go high and they throw in a nasty question and it is chance. Go low and you should be able to get through, middle varies but you have a decent chance if you think, as a lot of the answers are in the question

Sharon (& others?) - you're missing the point. Better to have a full team at the end, gives them more chance, but they DO need to have sorted out the tactics, a quick pass rather than 10 seconds lost dithering! Bradley has explained this many times.

Going on the show would be a lottery, you could be a good 'quizzer' but just unlucky to be allocated to an episode with 3 'duffers'??

That's why I stopped watching what is otherwise a good show.

I wish The Chase and its spin off shows would take a break. It's never off ITV and has been on too long. I'm sure trying something different like a chat show for six months of the year would be better.

I don't mind the quiz programmes although there do seem to be a lot of them of various types, some more gambling than knowledge or skill.

However, summer scheduling seems to be that plus sports or endless soaps. As well as repeats. Out of all of them, some of the quiz programmes are probably the best.

I prefer Darragh and Paul Sinha. Bradley and his stupid jokes drive me crazy. I hate it when the Beast has lost and walks out, not having the grace to accept he has lost.

Darragh certainly doesn't clean the lab floor. He is a true scientist with the relevant degrees.

Deal Or No Deal is the worst, people opening boxes and giving their life stories. I'm surprised thus was brought back as it was cancelled due to falling ratings 10 yeard ago.
Best quiz/game show for me has to be Mastermind. There are no prizes, no flashing lights or inane presenters, just someone in a srudo answering questions on their chosen subject and general knowledge. There again, I always was more of a BBC 2 person than ITV.

Richard Osman’s House of Games was on BBC2 three times yesterday and they were all repeats!
