Anyone up for a 'Traitors thread'?

Chestnut Sat 17-Oct-26 15:00:27

I think we have to accept that people can be celebs even if we haven't heard of them. There is a world out there that we know nothing about, involving Tik Tok, Instagram and goodness knows what else, Influencers are often well known by young people in that world, along with various singers and actors. They usually seem to put one or more of these people into reality shows which is good for them as it gets younger people watching.

NannaK. I'm enjoying Traitors, just not as much as the ordinary people games.
Last night's episode was very entertaining though.

Aldom Sat 17-Oct-26 14:53:41

Fallingstar Traitors is definitely better with ordinary people.

JenniRen Sat 17-Oct-26 11:17:56

I'm enjoying it but not as much as last year's Celebrity Traitors.

Who decides who is a Celebrity or not? Michael Sheen is a Star and some of the others I'd never heard of so I wouldn't count as Celebs anyway.

None seem to have the entertainment value of last year's contestants and that last task, getting someone to yawn, was just plain silly.
Ross is obviously suspicious.
However, where did Kenny disappear to? Will we find that Kenny made someone yawn and we are all supposed to be surprised when they don't turn up at breakfast, then find out how it happened in a flashback?

Aveline Sat 17-Oct-26 11:11:45

I agree. BBC has found a popular programme so has, as usual, gone overboard on it. Like Strictly.

Chestnut Sat 17-Oct-26 10:57:49

I'm also finding it rather boring on the whole. I record it and can then fast forward over the activities and focus on the conversations and the round table. I've seen the first celeb version as well as 2 non-celeb versions and I think the novelty has worn off.

^I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Ross doesn't yawn.^
Me too Smileless.
🤞

Me three! grin

I would really like them to run out of time, that will cause much confusion at the next breakfast!

Sad that some are not enjoying it as much as previous series - I am loving it!
(Easily pleased me!)

This is only the second Traitors I've watched but I think the Rachel/Stephen one was better than this celebrity version.

Ziggy62 Sat 17-Oct-26 10:16:53

Maybe 2 nights rather than 3 wasn't a good idea this year

NotSpaghetti Sat 17-Oct-26 09:51:56

I think James would have been funnier as a faithful.
He didn't want to be a traitor.

ferry23 Sat 17-Oct-26 09:46:31

I am enjoying it, but I have to agree with some of you. With so many big comedy names this year I thought it would be hilarious but it really isn't. Rob and Joe now gone, James A keeping a very low and somewhat timid profile and Miranda concentrating on being a sleuth it just doesn't have the spontaneity and off the cuff funny moments as last year. Even Romesh is quiet for him.

On reflection, I think it was the big personalities rather than being a comedian by trade, that kept our interest. Celia Imrie, Jonathan Ross, Stephen Fry, Alan Carr, Joe Marler - none are comedians as such but they all had very big and charismatic personalities.

Maremia Sat 17-Oct-26 09:05:44

I am enjoying watching how much they are enjoying it.

This is my first year watching so nothing to compare it to. My DDs who have watched it every time say the Traitors version with ordinary people is far better because the money they can win will be life changing so the stakes are higher.
Am enjoying it though.

Oh dear. This year's lot just don't hold my interest. Somehow it's all just a bit boring. We're being whipped up into enthusiasm by constant media attention. So who's out next? I really don't care any more.sad

I think I have to agree that it lacks lustre this year. There have been far more gripping tasks previously than the yawning prank. In my opinion, the players aren't interacting with enough harmless horseplay to keep my attention. Last year's was hilarious - Celia Imrie, Alan Carr, Joe Wilkinson, and even Tom Daley with his naive gaffes all knocked spots off this year's so called comedy actors. Maybe I've watched too many and need a break!

BlueBelle Sat 17-Oct-26 08:12:43

Jerry thinks she’s going. It was very staged yawning.
I m enjoying it but so far it’s far from great although so many big names I m sorry Joes gone but he did kinda bring it on himself
I think Kenny will be the best traitor

Smileless2012 Sat 17-Oct-26 08:09:20

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Ross doesn't yawn. He was watching James and Maya very closely and if Jerry's the one 'murdered in plain sight' that will confirm his suspicions and their days will be numbered.

Parsley3 Sat 17-Oct-26 07:51:58

If Ross isn't murdered then he is surely going to latch on to the weird yawning shenanigans.
Well done the cast for completing the mission in the pouring rain. A good episode this time. My daughter and I had no idea about how the round table was going to go.

I’ll miss either of those two, they are both strong personalities in the castle. I’ve warmed to Jerry, she is quite wacky.

Aldom Sat 17-Oct-26 07:30:10

A yawning great cliff hanger of an episode!!
Very nerve wracking as they yawned against the clock. grin
Yes, Ross looked bemused/suspicious.
If Ross or Jerry succumb to the yawning and are murdered I think they will find out by a letter waiting for them in their room.

Fallingstar Fri 16-Oct-26 22:01:24

merlotgran

I think Ross was suspicious of all the yawning.

I thought so too but he has been suspicious all along and he might just be the one to get murdered.

Jaxjacky Fri 16-Oct-26 21:50:12

I agree merlotgran you could see a penny dropping, Kenny is so nonchalant.

merlotgran Fri 16-Oct-26 21:43:40

I don’t know why I abandoned question marks in that post 😜
