Anyone up for a 'Traitors thread'?

nanaK54 Thu 08-Oct-26 22:00:47

They would be crazy to murder James B he is such an asset in the trials.

travelsafar Thu 08-Oct-26 22:08:57

So is Ross Kemp in the trials, his brute strength is an asset. I find James quite boring.

Someone needs to murder the annoying Julie 😁

Casdon Thu 08-Oct-26 22:10:41

Sorry, I don’t warm to James Blunt at all. I like Ross though.

You took the words right out of my mouth! 😂

James Blunt is certainly keen to get on and direct the missions, but I find him a bit irritating.
I'm surprised there wasn't more heat on Leigh Anne over the late evening make up scenario, as that would be a piece of tangible proof. I like her.

I think because Ma’hala warned the faithful that the traitors are not silly or stupid but smart this will make the faithful look at Hannah, James B, Bella, and Michael. And will rule out Jerry for sure. Of course Ma’hala doesn’t have inside information but they don’t know this, and they could look at the incident with the shield in the crypt with Hannah and wonder if it is her.

If I was a traitor I'd say let's get rid of Miranda. She's sharp!

Graphite Fri 09-Oct-26 11:03:40

I also find Blunt irritating. True, he seemed to organise people well for the first challenge but the battering ram task seemed chaotic.

Claudia told the contestants to think very carefully about which two people went into each crypt but it seemed utterly random. Whoever seemed closest or positioned themselves closest to the door went in. We didn’t hear any discussion about who to send.

I have never watched Traitors before this series so I’m guessing it is always this messy at the beginning as everyone is trying (and failing for the most part) to figure out who the Traitors are.

They were all far too self-congratulatory about Grant’s banishment when he played the game very badly and pretty much banished himself!

I’m still baffled why they banished Myha’la unless it was because she gave up the shield.

Herd following seems to be very much a factor at this stage.

I agree about Miranda. She plays the fool but she’s observant and sharp. I think Julie H has had a wake up call about how she is getting this very wrong.

JenniRen Fri 09-Oct-26 11:08:39

Miranda is quiet but observant and very astute.

In the last programme two people were obviously the targets for murder that night, Jerry and Hannah.
Has it happened in previous series that it was so obvious that just two contestants were the targets and, when they both turned up for breakfast, the assumption might be that one of them had been recruited instead?

Usually no-one knows who will be targeted.
It seemed to be a mistake on the part of the production team.

Jaxjacky Fri 09-Oct-26 11:45:24

I too find James Blunt irritating with his metaphorical ‘I'm in charge’ badge which he uses on his children too 🙄
Im pleased Richard E has gone, daft man!

They were up for murder as Jerry Hall asked to me let out of her coffin which she was sharing with Hannah.

As they opted out of the challenge they were both automatically up for murder

Now the faithful have to decide if one was recruited or they were lenient and decided against a murder

Graphite Fri 09-Oct-26 11:54:02

I was annoyed when Jerry Hall couldn’t stay in that underground box for five minutes so put both herself and Hannah Fry in danger of being murdered that night. I can understand being claustrophobic (I am a bit myself) but she was in no physical danger and would soon have been dug out.

She put Hannah, clearly the most intelligent person there, in a dangerous position strategically so she either had to be murdered or recruited. It's not so faithful to be that selfish and thoughtless.

I don’t think anyone at the round table suspected Hannah (apart from maybe Myha’la in that tense round table exchange) or indeed any of the Traitors so the Faithfuls are not doing great at this stage.

I’m late to the party for this but I can see why people become hooked!

Aldom Fri 09-Oct-26 12:15:20

I like James Blunt.
Miranda should have been recruited as a traitor. Now they need to murder her because she understands too well how to play the game, but I'd rather see the extremely annoying Julie murdered.

Parsley3 Fri 09-Oct-26 13:26:59

I am worried about Hannah now because she is not at all comfortable in her new role of traitor. She just looks a bundle of nerves. However, she did put the heat on Myha'la at the round table by defending herself well. Miranda would indeed make an excellent traitor. I like her.

Graphite Fri 09-Oct-26 13:37:02

I think we have to see Hannah’s behaviour in the context of the day, having to think fast on her feet. Hannah was put in an almost impossible position by Jerry, had a 50:50 chance of not making it to breakfast next day.

Having been recruited, she did well to throw people off the scent telling her fellow passengers that she really needed a Shield and throwing more suspicion onto Myha’la in the round table discussion about what was or wasn’t said inside the crypt. I think she’s clever enough to adapt to the role.

Aveline Fri 09-Oct-26 16:19:13

Meanwhile, isn't Hannah's hair terrific?

TillyTrotter Fri 09-Oct-26 16:39:45

Yes!

Derailing the thread somewhat, did anyone see “Who Do You Think You Are?” featuring Joe Lycett’s ancestors?
I found it very absorbing.
He is ‘hot’ right now with this prog about him, he’s on Celeb Traitors,
and has a Friday night Channel TV show “Live at The Lycett Arms”.

Doodledog Fri 09-Oct-26 16:52:58

I tried to find it on catchup last night, but couldn't. I'll try again another time.

Yes, I understood all that, but has this happened before, that it is known by all the contestants that just two were in line to be 'murdered' that night? Or did they not know?
Then, when both appeared, surely it was obvious that they had been reprieved and one recruited instead?

NotSpaghetti Fri 09-Oct-26 17:13:56

No. Because you don't have to recruit from those you could murder.
It could have been someone entirely different.

TillyTrotter Fri 09-Oct-26 17:15:48

Doodledog ,
apparently there is a dedicated “Who Do you Think You Are” channel on YouTube , if you are au fait with that?

JenniRen Fri 09-Oct-26 17:18:44

Fair enough.

But it still seems odd to me that just the two of them were in line for 'murder' whereas normally just a couple of contestants would have a shield.

NotSpaghetti Fri 09-Oct-26 17:37:48

That was the condition of the challenge that day - they all knew they might be murdered if they weren't released in time.

I think they could have all been spared murder with that task.

OldFrill Fri 09-Oct-26 17:53:21

There are 10 episodes and 21 contestants, they have to whittle down the contestants pretty fast to keep it interesting, (and to keep Uncloaked show on target). The murders are the whole point.
