Anyone up for a 'Traitors thread'?

Jaxjacky Sat 03-Oct-26 14:15:23

ferry23 I agree with you, never have taken to him.

BlueBelle Sat 03-Oct-26 14:28:35

Well of course you would say that FGT
He’s an intelligent and rather nice man but he wouldn’t fit with you would he ?

Amol Rajan first out. How utterly perfect.
Puffed up, pompous bag of wind.
Now, get him off University Challenge where he seems to think his role is to show off that he knows more than anyone else.

Well, I wasn't keen on him taking over UC because he talks so fast but he's grown on me.
Yes, he does know more than anyone else because he's got the answers there!
He's not half as impatient or rude as Paxo was.

I'm sorry he's gone, was looking forward to watching him develop his skills as a Traitor.

TillyTrotter Sat 03-Oct-26 14:34:02

I hope you are joking when you say that Bluebelle?

JenniRen Sat 03-Oct-26 14:35:52

"Rajan himself has joked that he landed high-profile hosting roles like University Challenge partly because he "pretends to be cleverer than he actually is".
😁

Anyway, he's been ousted. Wrong choice, Traitors.

Fallingstar Sat 03-Oct-26 15:03:35

They will imho vote Richard E Grant off, because he says he was a traitor which is a bit weird, but then he is always a bit weird anyway. I think if I was there I wouldn’t vote for Richard because I would think the traitors were setting him up. I would probs vote for James because he is looking really shifty and would suspect he was recruited when Amol was murdered.

First time watching for either celeb or ordinary folk versions and can see how it becomes addictive.

I, too, am sorry Amol went, I used to think he was quite cocky and arrogant but have warmed to him recently and really like him on UC...he's kind and is always encouraging of the losers.

Anyway, he's gone so now I want to see more of Rob and Romesh, I think they're both very funny and I would so want to be in their camp getting up to no good & being generally naughty.

I think James Blunt is one to watch, he's very bright but self deprecating with a great sense of humour and I can imagine his army experiences giving him just that little bit of ruthlessness when needed.

I actually want Richard to stay, he's silly and annoying but I think he's a good foil for the more serious players.

Crikey that was so nasty. Took me back to be honest.

I have never taken to Amol either.

Would you please explain he wouldn’t fit with you would he

I wondered that too Oreo

winterwhite Sat 03-Oct-26 16:51:25

I didn’t think that Bluebelle chose her words very well or intended them to be taken literally, but FGT rather asked for some strong comeback.

Maggiemaybe Sat 03-Oct-26 16:56:51

I am absolutely loving this series. but I’m going to struggle as I really like nearly all of the celebrities. Including Amol, who is always so kind to the competitors on University Challenge - I’ve never thought of him as arrogant at all, unlike his predecessor. I was sorry to see him go, but definitely wanted James to stay too! Poor James, he’s so set on being honest, and that’s not going to fit well with his new role. grin

Saying that, I can see Richard’s constant wolfish grin irritating me if he survives much longer, and Jerry deserves to be murdered for wimping out so quickly and putting Hannah in danger - she makes such a thing of being a bold, capable Texan and surely knew what she was signing up for. Bella and Sebastian are adorable. I admit I’d to google both of them and couldn’t believe how much Bella has done for someone so young, only turning 23 a week ago!

No she didn’t. She gave her opinion on a celebrity and didn’t insult any poster.

Oreo Sat 03-Oct-26 16:59:35

Why are Bella ( a good actor) and Sebastian ( never seen him before) adorable? Just wondering if I missed something.

Georgesgran Sat 03-Oct-26 17:00:07

Crikey BlueBelle!

FriedGreenTomatoes2 Sat 03-Oct-26 17:01:38

Celeb criticism - some say Paxman was too ‘whatever’.
Or in political threads - Boris, Polanski etc.

That remark was personally directed at me and it stung Bluebelle.

kittylester Sat 03-Oct-26 17:15:05

Im with you Fgt2.

Oh no! What a cliff hanger! I can't believe we have to wait almost a week to find out who is banished!

Where have I gone wrong. The death was announced this morning on the radio plus an interview. I thought it was a weekly program, like shysal.

The cliff hanger I referred to was the result of the round table vote and banishment not being shown, in the second show. In past series we always found out on the same programme. There are 2 shows a week.

TillyTrotter Sat 03-Oct-26 18:18:07

The personal remark was uncalled for re: aimed at fgt . We are all posting our opinions and yours is as welcome as anyone else’s about Celebs.
We only know about them by the impressions they give us in the media.

Elrel Sat 03-Oct-26 18:23:08

FGT
Harsh to want Amol Rajan off UC where he is competent.and kind. Leave him alone to do his job which is totally irrelevant to CT.

Fallingstar Sat 03-Oct-26 19:02:19

Sorry FriedGreenTomatoes2
I can imagine that must have stung. I read your post and you were just giving your opinion which I am sure we all will with individual contestants.

foxie48 Sat 03-Oct-26 19:07:31

I'm very disappointed that we were left with a cliff hanger. I think this series is shaping up very well and I really like the celebs (not that I knew who most of them were!) I really like Hannah Fry and hopes she stays in but tbh I also find Jerry Hall very amusing. Will Richard get booted out? Probably as it doesn't take many votes at this stage in the game and there's no one else who looks that vulnerable.
