Interesting start last night. One thing has been puzzling me, John Hannah, the narrator said...
Australia, the only single country continent in the world..

So which continent is New Zealand?

I rewound to hear again.

We watched it also, I like Sam Ryder and the girls, think the other two teams will struggle.

Apparently there is an 8th continent - Zealandia when it was discovered in 2017 that New Zealand sits on a different rock base.
I heard John Hannah say that as well ๐Ÿ˜€

Love this show and I am looking forward to exploring new places from the comfort of my own home.
I am hoping that the Price siblings get better ๐Ÿ˜€

Forgot it was on, one of my favourite programmes, will catch up with it on IPlayer tonight.

Yes great to explore places from the comfort of home, or revisit ones we might have been to. They showcase the countries along the way very well imo.

I am enjoying it too. The scenery is spectacular.

I am a Kiwi and find it interesting that Australia is one of, if not the, oldest land with marsupials and earliest humans whereas New Zealand is quite new and still actively evolving with eruptions and earthquakes and no native mammals apart from a bat.
Lumped together as Australasia - they are very different and not so near eachother. It took us 3 days by ship to travel there.

I hope they do as well, when they got excited at the thought of going to Australia and said they'd be able to see Grandma and Grandad ๐Ÿ™‚
Just to say - they are the Andre siblings, not the Price siblings.

I wonder how the Stellings will get on? Each seems to have a different approach to the problems.

The two young men and two young women are the strongest contenders but it's early days.

Is it usually only four teams?

ferry23 Thu 29-Oct-26 11:07:57

Yes the Celebrity version is 4 teams - civilians 5. I guess they weren't keen on having to eliminate a celebrity couple in the middle of the journey so kept it to 4.

Princess thinks malicious is a country and has only once been on a bus. So good for her for giving this a go. Her brother is a bit more savvy. I wonder if she'll still be in full make up at the end.

At the end of Day 1, which let's face it, is very tame, Jeff declares it's much harder than he thought it would be. Surely he must have watched it, because for sure it's going to get a lot harder!

Sorry, JenniRen, I realised as soon as I had written it that it should be the Andre siblings.
I remember watching Katie Price and Peter Andre when they first met in the jungle ๐ŸŒด๐Ÿจ๐ŸฆŽ

Understandable, I expect people do think of them as the Price siblings. Junior is more like his father, I think, thankfully, but at least they both know where Australia is!
