This week I’ve been watching old programmes on you tube and a lot them have a young Pauline quirke in them. I’ve also started watching Down to earth which I haven’t seen before.
Sad to hear that she has dementia.

Much as I like Brenda Blethyn, I always thought Pauline Quirke would have made a more true to the books "Vera"

I disagree, I think BB is rather splendid, however I do think PQ is a fine actress and it’s terribly sad about her dementia. In the same vein, I found it very sad when Barbara Windsor was diagnosed and sadly died.
