Well, lip waxed and redness fading nicely, hair cut (fringe just a tad too short, but I think the slightly startled owl look is a cat walk sensation just waiting to happen), shoes polished, trousers checked for bottom, stomach and thigh capacity, it was close, but just about acceptable.
Now for something odd but good! Part of the job involves "liaising with local, regional & national press & freelance journalists". I have been part of an article in the DT's property section, and also been in the locals a few times. (And NO before you ask, it was not in the Courts News column). I had kept the press cuttings, and thought that if I could find them it would be a good idea to take them along.
I was fully prepared to spend a frustrating hour or so looking for them, as I am the first to admit that my home filing is not the best, but there they were, in only the second place I looked
.
So, I have put them in my folder, along with the job description, a copy of the CV I submitted (had to check twice that it was the right one, I seem to have a number of different versions) and the covering letter I used.
Wonder what I have forgotten......................
