Evening all, hope everyone is as tickety boo as can reasonably be expected (awful grammar/syntax but my brain hurts from *learning new skills*)
Well, a few weeks ago the MD (to whom I report [that's better, isn't it?] as there is no middle management here) asked me to organise new kit for the troops. They have polo shirts, sweatshirts and fleeces with the company logo embroidered on, and plain navy blue cargo trousers. I think I may have mentioned this before, because that's when I disgraced myself laughing maniacally over the term "Hospitality trousers"
)
He said that if I fancied wearing the same sort of thing, I could order some for myself, which I thought was a "good thing" especially as I am still in my probationary period. I have short hair and fully accept that in that sort of clothing I may end up looking like not only the token women within the firm, but also the token lesbian. Do I care? No, it will remove all that thinking about what to wear each day and may also alleviate the need to shave my legs on a regular basis.
For the last two days I have been tasked with preparing some copy for the new website, part of which was writing profiles for each member of staff. The MD wanted some light-hearted/humorous elements included so I set to. I finished them early this afternoon and gave them to him. He was pretty chuffed with it, which was great.
However, I didn't do one for me. And he didn't say "where's yours?" Soooo, what do I make of that ?
