Anyone any experience of putting your heart and soul into a community venture just to find that the games that people play drive you out? Don't want to say too much in case it can be identified.

I find, in villages, that there are a number of queen bees, running all sorts of things. They tend not to overlap each other.
When they do, one will swat the other, ant it is difficult to predict which one will win out.

I was once attacked, quite viciously, when I was an NCT teacher. The attack was launched by the breastfeeding counsellors, a group which was very much dominated by a queen bee.
I was going through a very traumatic divorce at the time and left the NCT as a result. CNBA.

GIve me urban living anyday. You can expect that kind of behaviour especially in villages. No surprise there
