Ingredients

Leftover pasta
2 or 3 beaten eggs
Some cream (only if you have it available!)
Other leftovers eg: tomatoes, green pepper, a small amount of sliced cold meat, cheese.
Oregano or parsley (fresh or dried)

Method

1. Nonna Antonietta's rules for Pasticcio are simple. Grab the leftover pasta, add the eggs, the cream (if using) and the other leftovers. (Slice and dice everything in "very small" pieces)
2. Pour the mixture into a pan, sprinke a bit of bread flour (if you have grated parmesan cheese you can add it too) and bake it for 30 minutes (more or less) until golden and solid.

You can serve it piping hot or cold.

This is so delicious, and because you are using leftovers from your fridge the flavour vary each time you make it. Apparently it's an old Italian recipe - they don't like throwing stuff away and this is what they make with them.
