Ingredients225g onions450g minced beef 1 level tsp cinnamon 1 level tbsp chopped parsley 1 beef stock cube Salt and pepper 900g potatoes 1 can tomatoes 28g butter or marg 28g plain flour 40g mature cheddar cheese grated 1 egg (beaten) |

Method1. Preheat oven to 200C or gas 52. Peel & slice onions 3. Fry mince until fat is released 4. Add onions and fry for 2 mins 5. Stir in stock cube, cinnamon, parsley 6. Slice tomatoes, save juice. 7. Peel & thinly slice potatoes. 8. Arrange layers of spuds, mince and tomatoes in an oven proof dish. 9. Finish with a layer of spuds and pour tomato juice over. 10. Make a sauce from the butter, flour, milk, egg and cheese. Pour over top of the rest and cook for an hour with lid on then 30 min with lid off | |||||||||||||||||||
