Dining out....that would suit me fine, or my own chef smile
I think it's because after a long day any enthusiasm I may have had has evaporated or because I've never planned meals in advance before going shopping (that might help!)
I really should look through my cookery books and drum up some ideas!
Re:dishwasher do you think if I bought him his very own vacuum cleaner he might do the cleaning?!

Smileless2012 Mon 02-Mar-15 19:28:17

Ooh no, there's no pill that could be as satisfying as a lovely meal loopylou. Well I suppose as long as your DH is prepared to do all the washing up and you don't have too you can manage without a dishwasher but they are great, you could buy him one for his birthday or Christmashmm.

What a shame you've lost your enthusiasm for cooking. Sometimes we just get tired of cooking the same things all of the time don't we it's nice to be able to ring the changes from time to time, and even better to dine outgrin.

loopylou Mon 02-Mar-15 17:04:16

Sounds yummy smile
I haven't tried pork with mushrooms and rosemary, I'll have to remember that and look up a recipe.
DH refused to let me get a dishwasher so he's done all the washing up for the past 8+ years grin, suits me but I still think it's more wasteful of water than a dishwasher (needless to say he thinks otherwise!)
I've lost my enthusiasm for cooking unfortunately, I see it as a chore sad, I'd be quite happy taking a meal replacement pill!

Smileless2012 Mon 02-Mar-15 16:51:25

It went well thanks for asking loopylousmile. We had spiced parsnip soup followed by pork in a mushroom and rosemary sauce with cheese cake for desert. We often have friends over and get invited to theirs. I love to cook it's the clearing up afterwards that isn't as much fun. Thank goodness for the dish washergrin. Got my first one two and a half years ago, don't know how I managed all of those years without onehmm; yes I do, I had DH whose much better looking and much nicer to cuddle up too.

loopylou Mon 02-Mar-15 15:36:54

Hello Smileless, strange isn't it?
How did your dinner party go? It's years since I've held or been to one. What did you have (my mouth is watering here!)?
I was full of good intentions, needless to say not many achieved hmm.

Looks like you had a good time at your friends' 60th Celeb judging by the time you got ingrin, hope there are no ill effects this morning from last nights' celebrations.

Had a good session at the gym this morning, hope I'm not too achy tomorrow. Take a look at the link (on pg 38) about the journalist wanting to do an article on this estrangement Celeb, it would be good to hear your views.

Kept dreaming about ES last night. Woke up 3 times and each time I went back to sleep, there he was. Can't remember any details but it was very frustrating. Wonder if he ever dreams about ushmm.

Friends coming for a meal tonight so I need get off here and get in to the kitchen. flowerswinefor you all for the weekend. Have fun.

Sorry S here they are flowers, the first bunch were a bit too virtual blush

Yogagirl Fri 27-Feb-15 09:28:15

Dear Celebgran you argued some what with your DD (as a lot of M&D do) and I never did, yet we were both cut out, so don't beat yourself up flowers As we have all said before it's nothing that we did or said, and we all think 'if only I'd done this, if only I'd done that'. When I say things like that to my ND she always says "mum, no what its"
For you too Smileless

Smileless2012 Thu 26-Feb-15 20:14:31

Oh Celeb it's true what loopylou's said - a lovely post smileflowers every one has arguments, some more than others.

DS and I have words and often disagree but that isn't a reason to cut some one out of your life which is why he's still very much a part of mine; we have always been and remain very close. ES on the other hand was completely different, DH says we were soul mates and look what's happened thereconfused.

You ask if you've missed something but you and Gra have reached out to her on numerous occasions and she doesn't respond. Your DS is aghast at what's happened, he was there too, living with you as a child and young adult if there was something could he and Gra have missed it too?

You say that you discovered text messages on her 'phone running you downsad. If I've interpreted your post correctly, you asked her about them and it was that that ended your relationship. Despite all of your efforts for a reconciliation over the last 6 years you're no further on. Cutting her parents out of her life because of some text messages you found is awful. She may well have been annoyed that you'd found them and possibly embarrassed because of their content but then to have nothing more to do with you, well it just doesn't make sense. Then again little makes sense in this situation.

When DH asked ES why we weren't allowed to see our GC after being promised they'd never stop us "because we know how much you love him" his explanation was "things change". They certainly do don't they.

I'm sending you a BIG (((hug))) Celeb; stay strong.
