Presumably the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester will no longer be required to 'downsize' so the £1.4 million re-vamp won't be wasted?

hmm

All the palaces and properties are owned by us, aren't they, so it makes sense to keep them up together? (ducks below parapet hmm )

They will be Neighbours of Andrew and Sarah !

BlueBelle Sat 24-Nov-18 12:14:48

When I see a thread like this I always know there’s going to be a Daily Mail quote
Good luck to them
I love the idea of a cottage having ten bedrooms though ???

Anniebach Sat 24-Nov-18 12:16:42

They are downsizing ?

Luckygirl Sat 24-Nov-18 12:17:41

Who knows why they have chosen their new home? It seems the folks in there don't want to move; but the media concentrate on the idea that they have fallen out with bro William. Who cares?

sodapop Sat 24-Nov-18 12:21:22

You are right sparklefizz no need to duck. Yes a 10 bedroom cottage seems a bit of an anomaly BlueBelle I wish them luck too.

Anniebach Sat 24-Nov-18 12:55:07

Some people do care Luckygirl, they still think they are the two young boys walking behind their mothers coffin .

gillybob Sat 24-Nov-18 13:04:31

Bless them how will they manage bringing up a baby in a 10 bedroom cottage . They’ll be falling over each other .

merlotgran Sat 24-Nov-18 13:05:30

It looks like a bit of a 'dooer upper' though and then there will be the security detail to accommodate.

Meghan's a dog lover so I would think it's a nicer place to raise a family. I've often wondered what happened to that black cocker spaniel that Kate's mother bred for them. It hasn't been heard of or seen in pictures since George was a baby.

Probably lives with the staff at Anmer and has become what my DGCs used to call a holiday pet. grin

that reminded me of that Earth Kitt song gillybob, something about a soundproof nursery …..

Jalima1108 Sat 24-Nov-18 13:31:24

Eartha Kitt, sorry

Anniebach Sat 24-Nov-18 13:42:18

Nursery. Sitting room for the nanny. Bedroom for mother in law, housekeeper, valet, other staff , guests, seems they will be over crowded

merlotgran Sat 24-Nov-18 13:43:44

Has anyone told Meghan the Royal Happy Hunting Ground is just down the road?

She'll be able to go and say Hi! to Wallis. grin

Jalima1108 Sat 24-Nov-18 15:14:07

What! No staff quarters Anniebach?
No dark and dingy basement?

Surely only nanny is permitted to sleep upstairs with the infant!

merlotgran Sat 24-Nov-18 15:21:52

DIY SOS??

Jalima1108 Sat 24-Nov-18 15:30:40

Let me go and be Nick Knowles's right-hand woman. grin

Anniebach Sat 24-Nov-18 15:34:40

Jalima, by staff I meant her dresser, her secretary, they will be installed in the west wing, the attic rooms are reserved for ‘the others’ .

Anniebach Sat 24-Nov-18 15:36:55

Jalima he likes blondes ?

Jalima1108 Sat 24-Nov-18 15:41:45

I'm just off to Boots for some hair dye

Jalima1108 Sat 24-Nov-18 15:42:05

probably someone under 70 as well sad

Jalima1108 Sat 24-Nov-18 15:43:28

the west wing I thought this was a cottage, not the White House shock

Anniebach Sat 24-Nov-18 16:00:58

I don’t know which way the cottage ! faces , but there will be a wing, or two

Gonegirl Sat 24-Nov-18 16:36:04

Don't like the look f that big lake/pond out the front. Not when the little' un starts getting about. But then, I can see danger anywhere.

SueDonim Sat 24-Nov-18 19:17:31

Gosh, that's an ugly house. I'd drive on by if I were on a house-viewing mission!
