I feel so angry with Meghan & Harry

All the drivel about privacy and they do an interview with Oprah. I feel ashamed for Harry that he feels the need to air his dirty linen in public. What do they get from this? I have no idea. Prince Philip is in hospital and I just feel like saying shame on you both.

Can I join the SAGGIES please. I have some very saggy bloaters (deffo not rampant any more). I can also tie knots in all sorts of body parts.
Thanks to all the posters for giving me a much appreciated laugh tonight.
SecondhandRose. Sending you hugs and hope all goes well for you.

Nanna8 mentioned an old gentleman showing her his gallstones in a jam jar, then several posters described their many and varied experiences with gallstones to the bottom of page 9. Top of page 10, first comment I saw was:
"Mine were like marbles-two great big ones".

Well, wouldn't you be intrigued?

SecondhandRose Fri 12-Mar-21 12:33:17

Could have been gallstones, there was mention of them grin

There are a few posters here who have butterfly minds and discussions go all over the place!

Or even Gransnet!

SecondhandRose Fri 12-Mar-21 10:59:26

Hello, it’s me. No worries about the thread. I go between Mumsnet and Grandnet. Mumsnet has become a bit flakey for me so came to Gransnet but I am not a Gran yet. I am on chemo and feel like death so anything to cheer me up is good. PS Am still angry with H&M ?

Callistemon Fri 12-Mar-21 09:58:09

I have no idea - threads meander but this one seems to have got lost in hospital corridors!

Sparkling Fri 12-Mar-21 09:34:57

What on Earth are you all on about!

eazybee Fri 12-Mar-21 09:33:50

Gallstones!!!
Who would have thought!!

eazybee Fri 12-Mar-21 09:32:17

Mine were like marbles - two great big ones!
This statement appeared at the top of page 10, the first page I opened.
I can't wait to see what they are! (will be disappointed if they turn out to be hens' eggs!)

I thought gall stones would be like tiny round pebbles but they were larger than I thought and very spiky (painful) when someone showed me the ones she'd had removed.

Lexisgranny Thu 11-Mar-21 23:08:49

I was given my nine marble sized gallstones in a plastic pot, but the ward was warm and they stuck to each other in a sticky mess and looked liked something from a horror film.

Alexa Thu 11-Mar-21 09:17:21

Patients should always be offered kidney stones and gall stones as patients often like to have them.

Ellianne Thu 11-Mar-21 08:30:23

Yuck nanna.
During my university holidays I worked in an operating theatre of a London hospital. My first job of the day was to wheel all the overnight jam jars of body parts round to pathology. I had great fun trying to identify the bits, before I read the labels.

Drinking from glassware, even jam jars is fine. What is horrible is drinking wine from metal pots in posh restaurants. Puts my teeth on edge.

nanna8 Thu 11-Mar-21 01:51:37

When I was working this very old gentleman told me he had something to show me and he went and got a jam jar. Inside of it he proudly displayed his kidney stones. I made an excuse when he offered me a cuppa!

Yes it the one and only Accrington Stanley, actually I'm a bit "posher" I live in Oswaldtwistle (next door) near Oswaltwistle Mills.

V3r lol

Try saying that when you've had a g &t in a jam jar
Jam jars are very fashionable as drinking vessels.

I've tried saying it and can't even manage it after a brew

My favourite bit of a polo match is the divot stomping.
Like being amongst sanctimonious Gwyneth Paltrow fans, nothing beats grinding the little sods in to the ground.

Polo? Naah. Anyone for croquet? Now that can get vicious.
Pass the cucumber sandwiches someone and a cup of tea please.
