I have one and have used it mainly to cut out felt flowers for making brooches and cards. It is a very efficient way of cutting a lot out quickly and I think it would work well for quilting. Be aware you buy the cutting blocks seperately from the machines and they are also expensive.

Has anyone used a Sissix machine? I've been browsing through some Craft magazines and have really been taken with the idea of doing patchwork and applique. Years ago I remember cutting 100s of hexagons out of paper and fabric to make a quilt. It took ages. I wondered if it was worth investing in a Sissix for cutting the different shapes out. They're not cheap and would be interested to hear from anyone who has one as to how they've used it. Thanks.
