Grown-up colouring in pens

I have just received two grown-ups' colouring books and would like advice about suitable pens. Presumably felt tips would be best, but I need a good range of colours and tip widths, as well as pens that do not soak through into the back of the paper.

Or can you get acrylic pens?
Or would crayons be best? - but likely to be paler I guess.

Any advice?

Stabilo pens are the best IMO but aren't particularly cheap.

You could try water colour pencils; they can be used like an ordinary colouring pencil, or, once the colour is on the paper, you can add water to it (if the paper will take it) and get some nice, subtle effects.

What do you do with all these coloured in pictures?

Mine are in a book. I haven't completed any yet as I tend to jump about from one to the other as 'inspiration' moves me. I find even looking at incomplete pics somehow soothing.

I bought some of the Crayola pencils [crayons] from the supermarket for my grandson to use; they were recommended by someone. He hasn't told me if they worked well or not, though.

if you have "The Works" near you, they have a really good selection of adult colouring books in at the mo!
