I’m going to knit that cheeky bagpiper

Wasn’t sure I had quite enough, so have just been to get some yarn - dusky pink with a purplish tinge - for his poor wind-chilled nether parts.
I have plenty of everything else.

Let’s see how my piper turns out. It’s far from the easiest pattern I‘ve ever tackled, though I’m sure the clarity of Jean Greenhowe’s patterns will help.

You’ve reminded me to google or YouTube needle felting. I keep reading about it, but still haven’t got a clue what it is!

That's awesome Witzend! I envy any one who completes a project that even vaguely resembles what's it's supposed to be. I recently bought a needle felting kit of a grey fox and a red fox. When they were finished my neighbour saw them and said "Oh, how lovely! A red penguin"!
