My friend is celebrating her 30th wedding anniversary and 4 of us have purchased a container/ box with the inscription of her anniversary and names on it.We would like to plant a rose in it and we've found a pearl rose to suit the 30 years anniversary but we cannot find out if it's suitable for a container, as its £30 we would hate it to shrivel up before summers out. It's called pearl abundance ( harfrisky. Would any of you know about this rose or of any rose or plants that would look good in the container, other than the normal summer bedding plants. it's pastel blue about 1ft high 2ft width.

That container size sounds is barely big enough to hold a patio rose. I have two small patio roses in pots that are about 32 CM square and 32 CM deep.

That rose should eventually grow to 70 x 90cm

Look on websites for patio roses.
David Austen, Peter Beale, and Fryers roses all have websites with good info about the plants. I did a lot of my rose browsing on there.

I transplanted 2 roses from a bed into pots near the house when the deer had been eating them. They're doing well, after 3 years.
The pots are round, 12ins high, 16ins deep.
I don't know their names, but both are remontant.
