Anyone had breakfast yet? I can't decide - but it will involve eggs.

Think I'll have an espresso in the meantime - decisions, decisions. brew

Spinach, nectarine, banana and black currant smoothie. Two cups of proper coffee (columbian). No milk,

Smoked streaky bacon inside a wholemeal finger roll. Cup of tea, just what I needed to start the day.

2 eggs fried in olive oil this morning . I've fallen off the LCHF over the past few days , feeling and looking like a stodgy
dumpling ! Back on track this morning . Having eggs for brekkie keeps me hungerless until about mid-afternoon , whereas with a carb one I'm hungry by 10 am !

DanniRae There is a whole thread on GN. Look in Diet and excercise. It is Low Carbohydrate High Fat. So very little rice, pasta, potatoes, bread etc. But full fat cream, yogurt and cheese
And lots of salads, leafy vegetables and some fruits and meat. . I started it when I was diagnosed diabetic 6 months ago. I have since reversed my diagnoses and have never felt better.
Do join us on the Low Carb Support thread if you want to learn more. You might find it very interesting

Hi BBbevan sorry what is LCHF eating? confused

Greyduster Wed 28-Sep-16 11:20:58

Well, the chocolate banana brownie will cut the mustard for pud, but I had to have another piece just to make sure! If it has banana in it does it count as one of my five a day I wonder? hmm

bowl of mixed fruit at 9am. Currently two chocolate digestive biscuits - checking if they are of a good enough standard for the builders grin

Wobblybits Wed 28-Sep-16 09:51:58

Porridge -- again, get porridge every morning.

Greyduster Wed 28-Sep-16 09:20:50

I might have a slice of chocolate brownie this morning in the interests of seeing if it is fit to serve as a pudding when our friend comes for lunch - had a few minor difficulties with the melting process yesterday!!!! shock. If it isn't I'll have to ask DH to make his signature dish - jelly!

BBbevan Wed 28-Sep-16 08:23:20

We do LCHF eating. So I had egg and bacon and DH a smoked salmon omelette. I don't much like smoked salmon.

I'm having a 5:2 day too. Smoked salmon and a poached egg for me and that's it apart from lots of peppermint tea until this evening. Its not too bad!

Parsleywin Mon 26-Sep-16 10:13:06

This is a 5:2 day, so have had a small mug of hot water followed by a large mug of tea. smile Will have more of the same during the day, then a small meal sometime after 6pm.

Glad you're thinking of trying pobs again (bread and milk to me) rubylady - I was beginning to feel that I was weird because I still, occasionally, have it for breakfast!

rubylady Sun 25-Sep-16 23:38:17

We used to have pobs, not had it for ages though so that might be back on the menu soon. Thanks for reminding me, I loved it. smile

rubylady Sun 25-Sep-16 22:58:47

I had chocolate truffle profiteroles this morning! Scrummy. grin

2 slices of whole meal toast and Marmite, a Babybel, some baby tomatoes and a Yakult. Sometimes a small glass of V8 juice but not today as we had run out.

On days when I work I make a fruit salad of satsumas, grapefruit, grapes and sometimes pineapple or kiwi, take it with me and eat it before the madness starts.

whitewave Sat 24-Sep-16 21:49:50

No! The name may be but not the dish. We ate it in Cornwall.

mancgirl Sat 24-Sep-16 21:46:27

Odd adding this at this time of night but 2 weetabix, chopped banana and blueberries followed by a cup of tea. Pobs must be a northern thing - you'll guess from my name! - but it was a favourite when we were children! White bread and warm milk. Couldn't eat it now though!

whitewave Sat 24-Sep-16 21:45:52

Nothing! What I've eaten this evening will be enough until at least Monday morningconfusedblushshock

Legs55 Sat 24-Sep-16 21:43:56

Porridge for me with a little syrup, blueberries & raspberries - not allowed cereals as I am Type 2 Diabetic (got a lecture about sugar in cereals!!), glass of fruit juice & mug of Marmite (weak in hot water) - I can hear you all going "Yuk". Have to eat Breakfast as I need to eat to take my medication.

Coffee mid morning. Scrambled egg is a Lunch-time snack for me, or sometimes on a Sunday full "fry up" (only eggs are fried!) hmm

Victoria08 Sat 24-Sep-16 17:20:59

A Nutribullit for me.

Which usually comprises of handful of spinach, half an avocado, half a banana,
Blueberries, raspberries and any other fruits lying around that need to be used up.

I also try to put more veg in if there is room in the beaker.

I find it quite satisfying until lunchtime.

Lindajoy Sat 24-Sep-16 16:35:12

Sainsbury's Balance cereal with red fruits, soya milk, blueberries and a couple of spoonfuls of lemon yoghurt today. Sometimes 2 boiled eggs and wholemeal toast Sometimes porridge with blueberries or banana. Depends how I feel and how much time I have.

Sheilasue Sat 24-Sep-16 15:18:20

Scrambled eggs on toast with granary bread.

NonnaAnnie Sat 24-Sep-16 15:04:28

I've not had breakfast for about three months now. Intermittent fasting diet. Lunch at 12:30ish. Have lost 12 pounds and never feel hungry once I got used to not eating breakfast.

I miss my porridge sometimes so have some for lunch now and then.

lizzypopbottle Sat 24-Sep-16 13:38:28

And a cup of coffee...
