I Use my kindle fire in landscape mode and always use a stylus, cannot bear greasy fingerprints all over the screen! You can get really cheap packs of styluses (styli?) on Amazon.

I got a keyboard case for my tablet, but it is very slow to react and for someone who trained in shorthand-typing it is very frustrating. I wouldn't bother, quite honestly.

Definitely try a stylus - they're pretty cheap and if you get one like a pen you can slide it over the cover of your tablet. I'm a typist and find it incredibly slow typing on a phone or tablet so the stylus is ideal. Also good for playing Solitaire - other games are available grin

I use it in landscape mode. I've never thought of using a stylus, perhaps that is an idea. The thing is, I'm used to the larger screen of the Hudl. I've seen keyboard cases advertised, and just wondered if anyone had any experience of them.
Christmas is coming so I might ask the family for donations towards my new tablet fund?

Can't help with an actual keyboard suggestion, but you do use it in landscape rather than portrait mode, don't you? That gives you more room. The other thing I find helps is to get used to tapping on the suggested words that pop up along the top of the keyboard display - this saves a lot of typing and is also a quick way of correcting the inevitable typos. The list gradually adapts to suit your regular vocabulary.

My Kindle is ancient, probably about 1st generation; is your keyboard a qwerty one or abcde one like mine?
Could you use a stylus?
Or can you change the size of font?

Sorry can't help with the keyboard but didn't want to just read and run. I just recently bought a Kindle Paperwhite and have to say I'm now a total convert. The 99p deals from Amazon are fantastic. Only problem is I have so many books now I need to desist.

My Hudl 2 is dead. I am now using my 7" kindle fire. The trouble is the keyboard. I find it very fiddly to type on, and keep typing the wrong letters, or making spaces where they shouldn't be.
Do any of you have a keyboard case for your kindle? And if so which one would you recommend?
My kindle is 5 th generation if that means anything to anyone.
Thank you.
