After plucking them in the 70s, my eyebrows haven't grown, and now that I'm 60, they are even thinner than ever. I'm sick of having to draw them on every day, trying to get them to look even and a decent shape.

I'm thinking of having them tattooed on - has anyone had it done? Would you recommend it?

Yes. I had my eyebrows tattooed 5 years ago which didnt last. They arent real tatoos; some sort of vegetable crap. Last year, I had them microbladed, which was AGONIZING! That lasted about 3 weeks. I gave up. It's very expensive in the US - $200 - $400

I have mine tinted for the last year so much less hassle than pencilling in
Costs less than £15.00 & lasts 5 -6 weeks before fading

Also when I dye my hair I use one finger with a glove on and carefully dip it in my dyed hair and run it across my eyebrows. When rinsing keep eyes shut very tight

Have had both my eyebrows and eyeliner tattooed. Went to a very skilled cosmetic tattooist who’d done work on several friends and I liked the results. My eyebrows just disappeared about five years ago (without even a bye your leave...) and neither eyebrow pencil or eyeliner stay on in the Tropics. Great to ‘get up and go’ rather than needing to faff around with cosmetics in the mornings.

Glad to report that I had absolutely no problems during my MRI. The radiologist was interested to hear about my eyebrows as she hadn’t had any previous patients who had this done, though i’m sure I won’t be her last. She told me that the problems with pigment in tattoos is generally with self done tattoos where there is no knowing what has been used as pigment, or someone who is heavily tattooed.

I am also a 1970's plucker! I draw them in if I'm going out out, but otherwise its naked face. I've just googled microblading in my area. £325 plus regular touch ups and £100 per visit! Eeek! Think I'll stick with the eye brow brush and palette.

Anyone tried this? Just found on a local salon website costing £40:
Lola Brows a unique treatment which sculpts and builds the brow with personalised colour, providing a three dimensional look to frame and shape the face. Lasting up to three weeks and bespoke to each client’s needs, it’s perfect for sparse or over plucked brows, to fill in gaps or to build a dramatic brow shape.
Building both brow shape, volume and thickness, this multi-layering sculpting treatment uses a new specially formulated gel mixed with pigment powder to create a colour and look that is unique to each client. Applied to the existing brow or directly to the skin, the transparent gel used in the LoLa Brows treatment is light reflective and thickens the individual strands of hair with a realistic, natural look. Waterproof and smudge proof, LoLa Brows achieves a result akin to semi-permanent make up without the need for needles, it’s totally non-invasive and takes around 30 minutes to complete.

My friend had hers done and in the pub on a night out I thought they looked great. The next time I saw her in the daylight I thought she looked ridiculous! They just looked so fake.

I use my trusty Revitalash on mine, they do a specialist brow one, but this works as well , just need patience, about 8 weeks to work. Then brush them with a little castor oil and an old mascara brush in between . Worth a go.
