Now custom patchwork clothing is being used for gifts. sewmisfits.com/ has more like this. i would love to say that you should go for it.

My 12 year old DGS likes both the the long and short-sleeved "T shirts" from Sainsbury's. Usually sold as two or three in a set. And pyjamas from M&S (the short-sleeve ones.)

So do I as I always avoid buying clothes once they're past six or seven years old. They prefer to choose their own so I don't want to risk them never being worn.

I like the climbing idea.

John Lewis usually has very good teen and pre-teen gear. My two youngest grandsons (12 and 14) have a lot of clothes from there.

Debenhams perhaps.

PS: I posted this only as an alternative to clothing because my daughter-in-law doesn't believe in "labels" which make some poorer children feel left out and have others boasting about their designer gear.

I've purchased a gift vouchers for a Climbing Venue, where they have huge walls and rock ooutcrops the youngsters can climb, with safety harness of course.

My grandson loves this.

There may be many other leisure places which an 11 year old would like and which sell gift cards for single or multiple sessions.

My nephews 11 and 7 respectively wear a lot of Next clothes.

Hollister, Jack Wills or Superdry are all “trendy” with teens. Our GS’s would appreciate a hoodie/sweatshirt from these.

My 11 year old grandsons have become very particular about brands. Current favourite is Rascal and I got some bits online for them reduced for Black Friday. Not cheap but the quality is good and has street cred IYKWIM.

Abercrombie and Fitch perhaps ? Nice tops and hoodies.
My teenage GD wears Hollister but she is in adult clothes.

H and M are very popular amongst my 12 year old DS and his friends, as is River Island. They’re not as nice as Joules in my opinion but they’re very popular amongst that age group here.

Do you know of any nice online sites where I could buy clothes?
Last year I got some from joules but they seem very dear this year and not much choice. He likes something a bit different from the football tops he usually wears.
