Hi Msida I'm sorry you're feeling low and anxious.

When I'm feeling anxious I practice deep breathing, in through the nose and out through the mouth, it really does work especially when listening to some calming and relaxing music.

If you can ease the sense of anxiousness you're feeling that in turn may help you feeling low. Maybe just sharing on here will help you too. I hope soflowers.

Any of Miss Read’s novels about gentler times - always take the sting out of the day.

Lateral breathing, yoga exercises, home spa treatments, a soothing audiobook, a mug of cocoa, a warm snuggly blanket, good music, hand sewing, watching the wonderful Din Life on YouTube.

I decided after the first 2 weeks of the first lockdown last year that the level of anxiety I was experiencing was desperately unhealthy and was more likely to make me ill than a dose of COVID. So I gave myself a very stern talking to, told myself to get a grip, stop being obsessive about scrubbing everything with bleach and decided to concentrate on my physical and mental health.
So I concentrated on being healthy, walking 3016 miles in 12 months. Getting out and about on the hills at least twice a day, going to my local shops when I needed to and talking to anyone and everyone I met during the day. I just tried being as normal as possible. I realised that I was a reasonably low risk of serious illness from COVID So I hugged my daughters and grandchildren and got on with life. The worst thing that happened was a bruised ankle from tripping over a tree root whilst out on a hike.
I come out the other side of this ghastliness almost totally unscathed and physically and mentally well and raring to get on with life.
Now most of us have been vaccinated and have the future to look forward to. Let’s get on with it.

I think the events of the last twelve months have made quite a few people feel shaky, it has been such a weird time for us all.
If I ever feel a bit out of sorts, I treat myself well, buy lovely food and some flowers, watch a Nature programme or something funny on tv.

Meditation helps me, and there are a few apps to download to assist you to form a regular habit.

I am sorry you feel anxious and low Msida I think most people have since this terrible virus struck. I have spent many days crying and missing my family. But I have kept busy as much as possible in the garden I love my veg patch very much. I also like to do home study on line with lots of subjects to choose from. Take a look at Future learn Open University and Duolingo to name just a few for free courses.
I have this last year started a new past time making fairy gardens in lamps with my lovely granddaughters in mind.
I am an avid cook and own so many cook books it’s ridiculous!
I have been watching Rick Stein on the iPlayer A Far Eastern Odyssey again I bought the book when it originally came out it’s fabulous.
Tonight I am making a chocolate cake because we are going to Lancashire tomorrow weather permitting to see our daughter.
I do hope you do something to occupy your mind and brighten up your mood ?
