We think it's safe to say that summer has actually arrived <wonders why there's no air conditioning in this office> grin

Following on from last year's recommended summer reads, we're going to be compiling a list of your favourite books so far in 2013. Whether it's chick-lit, a thrilling spy novel or an autobiography of someone you admire, we'd like to know what books we should be reading while sunning ourselves on the beach or on quiet afternoons in the garden.

I too loved 'The hundred year old man etc., etc.,' A real fairy tale for grown ups. It was amusing, laugh-out-loud funny in places and so original.

Just read Cuckoo's Calling by Robert Galbraith who of course is really J K Rowling.
Excellent book & I do hope it becomes the first of many featuring this private detective. About as far from Harry Potter as you could get!
She does write so well. I haven't read Casual Vacancy yet but DH enjoyed it.

I agree, GrandmaH - I think this could be an even longer-lasting series than HP since it's not age-limited. I liked this detective and his assistant.
