Tegan, is that a new tram system in Nottingham that you wrote about? I ask because I rode on the trams there a few years ago, very pleasant experience too.
It`s been dull and grey here all day today, but still quite warm.
I went into town today. At one point there were two young men, around 20/21, twanging guitars and singing(??), making a hell of a racket to be truthful. They`d only got a few coppers in their box. A man going past said something to them, I didn`t hear what it was, but one of them grabbed his microphone and shouted F-CK YOU!! I thought it was disgraceful, there were lots of little kiddies around with their parents, everybody looked round, I hope they didn`t get any more money.

They are extending the present tram system in several directions [past the University and out along the A453 to the station]which means it's a nightmare getting into Nottingham at certain times. I'd forgotten that there have been trams in the city centre for quite a while now [I don't go to Nottingham much].

There is also a stop at QMC - bit of clever thinking there!

I have always had a love-hate relationship with Nottingham, but the day they felled the trees on University Boulevard for the tram was the day the 'love' part died forever. I couldn't bear to drive down there for a while, which was difficult because at that time it was my route to work. It still makes me weep to see the bare road. I hope it will all be worth it confused
