Not " classically" good looking, but attractive nevertheless.

Was watching Harry Potter last night with the weans, and it reinforced my opinion that Alan Rickman is a very attractive man. This also applies to Gordon Ramsay ( in my opinion) . For women, I think Zoe Wannamaker is an attractive woman.

. Who are your " mibbe not classic, but they ring my bell" people?

Patrick Stewart.... end of!

Greyduster Sat 05-Dec-15 21:21:38

Stellan Skarsgard; Kevin Spacey; and oddly, Toby Jones!

Ann Marie Duff; Laura Kuensberg; Nicola Walker.

Ana Sat 05-Dec-15 21:23:18

Ooh yes, I'd forgotten Stellan Skarsgard!

Envious Sat 05-Dec-15 21:37:31

You ladies know im a Martin Clunes fan. tchgrin

Envious Sat 05-Dec-15 21:40:31

I think Kevin Spacey is attractive but recently found out he wouldn't think I was. tchshock

Alan Rickman or Patrick Stewart would do for me, both got lovely voices. I was always a big fan of the late Rosalie Crutchley, although I think it was the voice again that did it for me.

She was a character, wasn't she?

Marmark1 Sat 05-Dec-15 22:50:52

Gordon Ramsey attractive ?,? Have you something wrong with your eyes?

Coolgran65 Sat 05-Dec-15 22:52:22

I would agree with most of those named above (not Gordon Ramsey).

I do think that an 'odd quirkiness' in looks is very attractive.

I like man looks - not overworked handsomeness (is that a word ??)

Anniebach Sat 05-Dec-15 23:05:11

I do like John Humphries smile, and for sheer lust Denzil Washington please

Envious Sat 05-Dec-15 23:25:31

If we are going to mention late men how about William Powell or was he considered handsome? hmm

numberplease Sun 06-Dec-15 00:03:18

I used to think that William Conrad, who played Frank Cannon all those years ago, was lovely, despite being quite tubby, and not over tall.

Greyduster Sun 06-Dec-15 08:23:59

Can I add Michael Kitchen and Roger Allam (he has a lovely lived-in face) to my list?

feetlebaum Sun 06-Dec-15 08:25:09

I've always liked the sort of woman that the French describe as jolie-laide - she's perhaps ugly if you take her feature by feature, but oh boy! The overall effect is stunning. The idea has been stretched beyond all belief by Vogue, where they take reasonably acceptable woman and make them look like hell on wheels...

Zoe Wanamaker? Magnetic! Alex Kingston? Wow!

I can'tt help but think it funny that Alan Rickman has everybody here breathing heavily when I think of his fist major TV rôle. as the egregious Rev Obadiah Slope in The Barchester Chronicles - he was quite wonderful - and wonderfully repellent!

Michael Kitchen,yes very attractive,

I'm having a serious senior moment here. I love Harvey wotsit - you know, the not typically handsome guy in that Quention Tarantino film.

I'm determined not to Google, so am thinking of all the Harveys in the world:

Harvey Goldsmith
Harvey Smith
Harvey Wildenstein
Harvey Nichols
Harvey Wallbanger
Harvey Proctor(!)

He's a bit pock-marked and very attractive.

Oh, gawd I'm getting old!

Lona Sun 06-Dec-15 15:44:55

Keitel?

Greyduster Sun 06-Dec-15 16:12:11

Riverwalkgrin

Riverwalk Sun 06-Dec-15 16:14:11

Thank you Lona!

Yes, Harvey Keitel - very handsome in a certain sort of way wink

Riverwalk Sun 06-Dec-15 16:17:32

Just Googled him - a mere 76!

tinaf1 Sun 06-Dec-15 20:36:44

Sam Elliott usually appears in westerns like him better with short hair

Grandma2213 Mon 07-Dec-15 01:43:22

Had to google Alan Rickman and still have no idea who he is. Must pay attention!

I know I am sad but I find (Professor) Brian Cox very attractive. DS says he is a nerd. I say I am attracted to his brain (but his bum is rather nice too - sorry for lowering the tone!)

feetlebaum yes Alex Kingston is gorgeous.

I also melt at the voice of Robert Winston another professor. Is there a pattern developing here? wink

This is good chat for the wee small hours. I used to like listening to the journalist Anthony Howard, but he wasn't at all handsome. Now I'm excited by Roger Johnson on BBC North West. Poor, handsome Roger, blush exciting an old lady.

Jayh Mon 07-Dec-15 11:03:43

Oh yes, Harvey Keitel I had forgotten him. Alan Rickman IS wonderfully repellent- I am blushing now.
I also had a thing about the younger Neil Pearson in 'Between the Lines'
and Harrison Ford as Han Solo.
So many men so little time .........?

Anniebach Mon 07-Dec-15 11:13:58

Voices do it for me
