Does everyone have the drawer which contains the following;

Batteries
Odd clothes pegs
Plug top/tops
Takeaway menus
Hair roller/rollers
Unknown keys ?

What else?

The minute you throw any of the useful bits and bobs ( junk) out you can be dead sure you will need it. Sods law.

Indinana that's exactly what I did when I moved....it's the small things that make us feel at home!grin

And most of us have an awful lot of small things! grin

I have organised so much since our move but there are always so many bits that just don't seem to fit precisely anywhere. confused

What big drawers you have Grandma. Having read the lists above, in our house those contents are spread across about 4 drawers.

The drawer we call the 'useful' drawer (after the the great big useful box on Play school!) contains

alan keys
2 sets of really small screw drivers, chisel and phillips head
String
Multimeter
Tiny glass bottles and plastic bags, suitable for samples
Tubes of various types of adhesive
Spare bits for appliances, not sure which
Torch
Metal tape measures, DIY for the use of
Stanley knife blades
Oil lamp wicks
Ultrasonic distance measurer
Black and Decker drill keys

In fact all the things DH wants to hand when he wants to do a fiddly little bit of making/doing grin. The Dremel is too big for the drawer so lives wherever he had it last - and that always causes problems.
