I've just been listening to T rex I love to Boogie which has helped my dusting go much faster than usual! What songs make you start tapping your feet? Think I need to make a housework playlist. grin

I just like the dreamy tunes, so they would not help with the housework! I will quite happily 'float?' to 'Misty' 'Fly me to the moon' 'Unforgettable'.........

Don't stop me now by Queen is my favourite. Arthritis in the knees does somewhat curtail my moves though. Must try and remember I am 65 not 35. smile

Thank you, thank you, thank you Mo Brown and everyone who has posted. You have inspired me to get out my Eddy Grant CD from yesteryear and bop about. My daughters and I used to do this in the mornings sometimes before we headed off to school and work.
I thought I could feel a cold coming this morning but now feel much better. A bit of bopping to Eddy seems to have kicked my immune system into action.

DanniRae Fri 23-Sep-16 15:28:14

It was a pleasure Lupin - glad you are feeling better!smile

My mum was in a care home for her last few months surrounded by the music of Vera Lynn etc The care homes of the future will be filled with the above - there is a thought. I'll vote for Woodstock.

Jayh Fri 23-Sep-16 17:04:31

Viva La Vida by Coldplay but a lot of the above as well. ?

Ana Fri 23-Sep-16 17:18:28

Almost any Tamla Motown number.

Anything by T Rex or Rod Stewart. Not only do I dance but sing to them as well. As I do both very badly it only happens when I'm in my own! ???

Lilypops Fri 23-Sep-16 19:40:59

T.rex, get it on, I love to boogie,
Beatles, I saw her standing there,
Happy, Uptown funk, Any 60's music will get me bopping !!

trisher Fri 23-Sep-16 20:15:12

Motown, Early Stones stuff. Scissor Sisters-I Don't feel like Dancin' and Tina Charles I Love to Love

Elegran Fri 23-Sep-16 20:28:38

Chris Barber in the 1960 days of his small jazz and blues group - not so much the later big band stuff. When I play my CDs I still feel feet tap and my spirits lift.

I think those of us who first met our partners in a dance hall never lose the pleasure we feel at hearing the kind of music we smooched or jived to.
