Good Morning Saturday

Good morning all!
Cold and dark so far here in N Bucks. A in bed I think before I venture out.
Taking three friends to “They Shall Not Grow Old” at the Filmhouse in Northampton this afternoon. Then Strictly and the ritual of changing assorted clocks which generally takes up most of the “extra” hour!

Cold here on the south coast also, and still dark. Family are here for the weekend and today DH and DS are out on their bikes then planning to watch the England v New Zealand rugby. Teenage grandchildren will do their own thing. DiL is going to meet her brother in Southampton to go to the footie so I am doing a buffet lunch to allow for all the comings and goings.

Hope to relax and watch Strictly this evening when they go for a curry with DD and family!

Morning, folks! On week days I'm usually out the door by this time torch in hand for walking down the hill (it's not a street so no street lights) and the newspaper in my pocket (on my phone!) for reading at the bus stop.

Eighteen years ago we had a triple celebration for Minibaggs's birth, her second sister's eighteenth birthday and my forty-fifth. Minibaggs decided she'd like to do it again! It won't be quite the same, if only because she and sis2 are just haring over from Edinburgh on short visits, but a chocolate and pear cake will be made when I'm properly awake and there is talk of a bonfire in the evening.

Good morning All. Cold,dark but dry here in the North West. I really must go to bed later than I do or it'll be 4am when I wake with that extra hour.
Usual cleaning and hoovering,etc then some washing. All food shopping done,so a lazy day------up to now.

Good morning all, it's pretty cold here in Glasgow.
Baggs, happy birthday, that sounds a lovely way to spend your day. ?
The men in our family are having a jolly today, a bonding session ? and setting the world to rights. .
The ladies too are having a lunch, but it looks like I shall have to miss it. Last night, the joiners, discovered there were items missing from the kitchen, so we have ground to a halt.
The works van has broken down, so they can't go today for the missing parts. DH is going to drive to the supplier first thing , (we have already paid for them, they just weren't delivered) and collect them. One panel won't fit in his car, so we are scuppered, as the electrician can't do his bit until it is on the wall.
I was feeling pretty fed up, until I realised it is nothing in the scheme of things , compared to the sorrow some grans are suffering.
Those with nice things planned, have a great day, those who not too well .

No sunrise this morning, day is just sneaking in under the cover of rain. I’m glad I didn’t get around to cleaning the windows yesterday.

We’re supposed to be replanting some of the tubs in the market square this afternoon, but I rather fear rain may stop play.

Good morning all. Crisp and dry in East Northants - I'm not sure what sort of a day will develop. I'm on a mission tidying and rearranging drawers and cupboards, so probably more of that today and no doubt another bag full for charity. Have a pleasant day everyone.

Asked for a concessionary hospital parking ticket yesterday, as everyone knows it’s going to be a long haul for Mr. Finn, but am considered not his carer. Hmmmm. However, managed to get a monthly reduced plan ?.

Good morning all from a cold looking Northampton , very clear with a beautiful almost full moon, a gibbous moon I think they call it (as I seem to remember from teaching KS2 science).

Shall be next door to you this afternoon, Maw, at the Derngate watching matinee performance of 'West Side Story', a half term treat for eldest DGD. One of my favourite musicals, hope she enjoys it. Then planning on taking her for tea somewhere afterwards. Going to the Filmhouse next week to see 'A Star is Born'.

It is rather grey in South Yorkshire this morning, for a change. My son is coming for lunch and then to football with DH, and I have an afternoon to myself! I am dizzy with anticipation of being home alone! Have a good day, folks!

Cooking a large chilli today. Freezing some and serving the rest for a TV supper. Dh and DS1 will be watching their team on one TV while I'll be watching Strictly on another!

Off for coffee with my lovely friend who is in her 90s and is full of vim and vigour. Don’t know how she does it.

Good morning from a dark, wet NE.
DS has posted a photo of his street with a good covering of snow and it is still October. We have to travel to the snow covered area to collect GD in an hours time.
She sent a picture of her pumpkin, she is going to bring it to carve so that we can help.

Blue sky with a few fluffy clouds and little sunshine here this morning. Off to meet my niece for coffee and a catch up this morning. We will no doubt have a look round the shops for prospective christmas gifts too. Aiming to get back in time to finish off some work in the garden that i started yesterday.

OOOh, Sorry Baggs. I actually read your post and thought how nice it was that you have a triple birthday celebration without actually twigging the fact that it’s your birthday!! . In my defence I was only just awake!

Morning from a very cold Fife. DGS2 is still in hospital. His bronchitis is being treated by tubes down his nose and throat, he is responding to treatment and there was an improvement yesterday. Thank goodness. Have DGS1 who is a bit confused by everything but giving him lots of cuddles and attention. Hope everyone is ok I have just read teatime's post and I am heart broken at what they are going through.

DD birthday today, her and family are back from holiday today. GC staying here tonight whilst she is out celebrating.
