Where is she?

I was recently thinking about vampirequeen but on searching, the latest post I could see from her was back in March.
Her posts were always interesting and I know she had health problems but wonder if anyone knows if she's ok or if she's taking a break ( or even opted out of GN. )

Panache is the one I have noticed the absence of most as she used to post quite often. I do wonder if she is ok as she had multiple health problems if I remember correctly.

Beechnut Wed 16-Jan-19 07:30:35

Beau, you will find Panache in Soops kitchen.

NanKate Wed 16-Jan-19 07:35:15

Ana and Anya are both missed.

I wonder if anyone has stayed the course and been on GN from the beginning?

kittylester Wed 16-Jan-19 07:38:07

I think phoenix was here in the beginning and I've been here since very soon after. And maw might have been here since the early days.

Mamie Wed 16-Jan-19 07:43:39

I too have been on here pretty much since the beginning. I only post on a few threads though.

Some names mentioned here are still here but under different names ( obviously I won’t say what the new names are, that’s for them to come out and say, or not.)
Also, some, like wot and wilma are still here but post infrequently. I don’t have much time for GN, usually dive in for ten mins here and there as life gets busy, and think it’s the same for a lot of people.

Marelli Wed 16-Jan-19 08:01:43

I have stayed the course, having joined 2 months after Gransnet started. I used to be Greenmossgiel, but changed my name due to concerns that my posts may be misconstrued by family members if they happened to read them at the time. ?

Alima Wed 16-Jan-19 08:08:42

Don’t often see you post now Marelli. I think the funniest thread ever on GN was the one about you swearing at neighbours if I remember rightly.

Urmstongran Wed 16-Jan-19 08:09:10

I was thinking how much better it might be Marelli for your family not to know your pen name in case you needed anonymity - should you ever want to come on and post about a family problem. How can you do that if your family read your posts?

Marelli Wed 16-Jan-19 08:32:32

Alima, I can't remember that one! I did post about how an over-cooked and rather crispy fried egg was applied to DH's (bare) nether regions when he made an ill-judged criticism about my cookery efforts in our early days of being together. Could that have been the post, perhaps? Being remembered for such (delicate) matters must only be a good thing ?!
Urmstongran, yes. I very much agree with your comment. I remember that day very well, when I was sitting on a bus and it had dawned on me what I'd just posted about a close family member. I couldn't wait to get home and that was when I changed my name. It's a long time ago now but I'm wary what I post now. I was in a cold sweat that day (but looking back, I know that the person who may have identified themselves in my post wouldn't have cared less - and still doesn't... Hey-ho (as our Baggs would say)!

Hello! Wot here! Just a bit subdued due to on going heart problems and lack of anything interesting to say!

kittylester Wed 16-Jan-19 08:40:54

ariadne appeared in the kitchen and then disappeared again. Unless I'd had too much wine and imagined it.

Anniebach Wed 16-Jan-19 08:41:41

Wot hello x ?

harrigran Wed 16-Jan-19 08:45:27

I have been here since the first few days of GN and have been known to go on holiday for more than three weeks and never been missed. I think we tend to worry about those that we know are having problems.

kittylester Wed 16-Jan-19 08:47:30

I'd miss you harri!

Marelli Wed 16-Jan-19 09:04:48

True, *harrigran’.

Riverwalk thankyou,am still here,a bit subdued at the moment, but fighting back,my lovely GD E is soon to be 20,and trys to parent me?.
I now have another GD courtesy of my son,she is almost 7months,hoping to see her today.
I remember all the fun we had with the names that have been mentioned, and the now shut down for health and safety Lils bar.
Hope you are keeping well,I do a fair bit of lurking these days, but read GN everyday to catch upxx

Alima Wed 16-Jan-19 09:13:10

Intriguing Marelli. Will try and search for the nether regions/fried egg if and when we get the search facility back. (Something about neighbours/cars/parking/rich language if that narrows it down)

Nannylovesshopping Wed 16-Jan-19 09:19:14

Hi Wot glad you are still about, hope you can sort your heart problems outflowers

Bellanonna Wed 16-Jan-19 09:50:55

wot hello. Nice to see you.

Anja Wed 16-Jan-19 10:09:17

Anya is back.

Greenfinch Wed 16-Jan-19 10:10:23

What about MiceElf ? I used to like her sane and balanced contributions.

annsixty Wed 16-Jan-19 10:14:58

I thought Anya was back but hesitated to say in case I was wrong although a very personal detail was a strong pointer.
Welcome back, you were missed.

Elegran Wed 16-Jan-19 10:21:28

Several people say they miss Frank. I did wonder once whether he (and his dog) had emigrated (but decided he hadn't).

kittylester Wed 16-Jan-19 10:22:19

I wondered that too elegrangrin
