Oh, well done Maw for finding out!

Lb66 Thu 17-Jan-19 18:44:20

Only been on gransnet a few weeks, really enjoy reading the posts and found myself going to Micks post every day. I do hope he is ok.

Blimey Maw I think our secret service is missing a trick not employing you.

Good to hear Mick is okay.

Pittcity Thu 17-Jan-19 15:50:04

Thank you Maw , sighs of relief all round.

We did warn Mick about Windows 10 .
Let's hope we can avoid Windows 11!

NanKate Thu 17-Jan-19 15:40:25

Splendid news about our Mick. Very well done Maw thank you for persisting for us. ?

Auntieflo Thu 17-Jan-19 14:55:21

Well done Maw, that was kind of you. Glad to know Michael is OK.
Anyway, Belated Good Day to you all. Hi AnnieB.
The BT engineer was here first thing this morning, sorting out our line. He said he was surprised that it worked at all, with all the gunk he found in the hole outside.
Bonus is that our broadband speed is now “up to speed”.

Brunette10 Thu 17-Jan-19 14:39:27

We shall all look forward to Windows 10 being put into action for Mick.

Wonderful Maw so pleased you could track him down.

Greyduster Thu 17-Jan-19 13:11:10

As a Private Eye? ?????

You’d be better looking than Hetty Wainthrop! grin

annsixty Thu 17-Jan-19 12:53:28

Thanks Maw
Quietly worried about Mick, I myself feel very vulnerable now, living on my own, at my advanced age (81) ,a very unsettled feeling.

aggie Thu 17-Jan-19 12:08:03

Great work Maw xxx

MawBroon Thu 17-Jan-19 12:07:49

Good thought Mapleleaf will do

MawBroon Thu 17-Jan-19 12:07:13

As a Private Eye? ?????

Brunette10 Thu 17-Jan-19 12:03:44

Maw, ever thought of starting a new career? smile

Brunette10 Thu 17-Jan-19 12:02:52

Well done and I'm sure all his GN friends will be very glad to hear that goods news. Nothing wrong with being a little bit 'snoopy' smile wink

Mapleleaf Thu 17-Jan-19 11:59:11

Just a thought, Maw, and I certainly don't mean this unkindly, but if, in your tracking Mick down, it is the place you mentioned in your post of 10:38:46, it might be an idea to ask for that post to be withdrawn now, as these threads are widely read, and he might not want his location to be there for all to see. I might be worrying unnecessarily, of course, and I think what you have managed to do do is great, so again, thank you. smile

Mapleleaf Thu 17-Jan-19 11:50:51

Thank you, Maw.
A good bit of detective work there! smile.
A relief to hear its his computer at fault and that he is ok.

Greyduster Thu 17-Jan-19 11:42:03

Good on yer, Maw, well done! Good to know he’s ok.

ninathenana Thu 17-Jan-19 11:33:08

That's a relief Maw thanks for taking the time to do that.

DoraMarr Thu 17-Jan-19 11:10:41

smile well done Sherlock Broon!

NemosMum Thu 17-Jan-19 11:10:32

Good Morning! It's been snowing here in Newcastle upon Tyne for the past hour, but now the sun has come out. Pretty though the snow is, I hope it melts quickly or A&E will be overcrowded with fractures.

Susan56 Thu 17-Jan-19 11:03:55

Well done Maw??‍♀️Such a relief to know Mick is ok.

Marydoll Thu 17-Jan-19 11:01:12

Well done Maw GN at its best. smile

MawBroon Thu 17-Jan-19 10:50:44

Right!
MissMarpleBroon has tracked him down, spoken to the manager and it is his computer. I left a message that his GN friends were concerned about him and that we were glad he is well even if his computer isn’t!
I have also offered to post a message on his behalf if he rings me.

Brunette10 Thu 17-Jan-19 10:41:36

I have often thought of a scenario such as we have with Mick at the moment. As you say don't want to be 'snoopy' but everyone does seem to be concerned and quite rightly so given that we all do care. It is a tricky one. I just hope he is alright.
