My usual Saturday hopefully there will be a flea market on in Buckingham , wet weather in the past there has seen low attendance stall wise.

Good morning.
It’s a cloudier morning, but the sun is trying to show through. Breezy, but not as windy as yesterday so far, although the forecast is for it to get stronger and wetter as the day goes on. Had a fair bit of rain through the night, but seems dry for now.
Going to friends this afternoon so the two DH’s can watch rugby and we can chat, then having supper with them after the match. Luckily, they live within walking distance. Think we might get blown there if the forecast is right!!
Quite an eventful day for you yesterday oldgaijin. I hope today is a lot less eventful.
Take care all, and those of you still feeling under the weather, I hope you will soon be on the mend.
smile

Morning all from a stormy South Notts. Off out to get a newspaper shortly and I shall sit with the giant crossword later, after planning my televisual entertainment for the week.
On Mumsnet the Daily Mail is often criticised but I find the TV magazine is the best and it's only £1.

Off to explore Mount Oueigal Castle today. Hoping it's not going to be too windy up on that rock. Our last day in Jersey as we're homeward bound tomorrow. A week suddenly feels like a long time and I'm looking forward to giving those GC a hug.
Have a good day all.

Good morning All x

Not such a great night with a pain like " toothache " down my right arm. Don't know what that was about but I couldn't get comfortable with it and couldn't pinpoint where the actual pain was. It's still niggly this morning.
We never know the minute do we ?

It's still breezy here on the banks of the Mersey and isn't likely to cease judging by the forecast so another staying-in day. I'll make a cake as I've got some lemons.

Hope the day goes well and to plan for everyone.

Return of winter here in the Scottish Borders. Our French visitors are delighted to see the snow.
It's GGP's birthday so we were going to take him out to a restaurant for lunch.
Sometimes you just have to go with the flow.

Good morning from a very wet NE coast. Thankfully (as harri said ) the wind has dropped but I think the rain is here for the day.

What “a series of unfortunate events” (the older grandchildren love the Lemony Snicket books and film) you had yesterday oldgaijin , hope your eye is not too sore.

Glad to here your little granddaughters asthma has eased a bit Marydoll poor little lamb.

DH is at “that place” all day today (well we did have last Monday off you know..... couldn’t possibly let things slide) although he’s not feeling too good. I’m going to catch up on some housework and do a bit food shopping later. I never quite manage to get all of my own shopping when I take my dad shopping on a Friday afternoon .

Have a good Saturday everyone.

harrigran Sat 16-Mar-19 08:39:50

Good morning from a damp NE, we have snow on the grass but it has melted elsewhere. Sounds as if the wind has dropped which is good.
Disturbed night so will take it easy today.

Good morning all from a windy E. Northants. Bit of shopping to do this morning, quiet afternoon watching Vera and then a pub Quiz tonight. Oldgaigin that was some day you had yesterday - hope you are feeling better today! These things usually come in threes, but you excelled yourself! grin

Good morning everyone from a very wet South Manchester. Saturday = bacon and egg for breakfast! No plans till this evening when we walk round to babysit the two cronies.

BlueSapphire Sat 16-Mar-19 08:24:50

Good morning all from a very windy Northampton.

Not much planned for today, probably Sainsbury's this morning and then watch the rugby this afternoon on tv and read the papers.

Had letter from hospital to say no sign of a fracture in my wrist, but they still want to see me next week for a check up. Apparently they could tell from the xrays that I have osteo-arthritis my wrist - news to me!

Hope everyone's day goes well.

Greyduster Sat 16-Mar-19 08:24:00

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. Grey, wet but not too breezy - yet.
Nothing much planned today. DH is going to the pub to watch a football match as we don’t have Sky. I have some ironing to do. Hope your GD has a better day today, Mary. Have a good day folks.

cornergran Sat 16-Mar-19 08:19:04

Morning Mick, morning All from a damp and still windy corner of Somerset. Had a young lodger overnight, it seems my interpretation of food requests for yesterday was inadequate but I’m forgiven as breakfast is ‘yummy’. Hope your mouth gets less sore gaga and Saturday is kind to everyone.

Morning Mick and All.

What an awful catalogue of disasters Oldgaijin glad you survived the day.

Mary you are a star ⭐️. What would our families do without hands on grandparents?

Hope your flea market is open Mick.

In recovery mode after looking after our two turbo powered DGSs for a second lot of days. We’ve been given a whole week off before we are back on duty. ?

kittylester Sat 16-Mar-19 08:08:10

Morning all from a very blustery North Leicestershire.

We need to collect Dh's new glasses and then buy some flowers.

1inamillion Sat 16-Mar-19 08:01:09

Good Morning from a dry South Welsh coast, blowing a gale outside and rain due this afternoon.

Will be watching the rugby later so an easy supper planned - pasta with mushrooms and homemade tomato sauce from the freezer.

Gaga, best wishes to you ?
Gagin, what a b.......r of a day for you yesterday. Glad you found an optician to help. Stay in today and take care.

Damp and grey here. I think I’ll have a day in the shed then make a curry.

Marydoll Sat 16-Mar-19 07:43:25

Good morning all from Glasgow, it's snowing quite heavily here and starting to lie.

Having a catch up day today, nothing much got done, due to having DGD here for most of the week.
Thank you to all who sent good wishes on hearing she was ill. I thought she sounded a bit better ysterday, but as some of you will know, asthma is so unpredictable.

We are taking her for a sleepover, to let mummy and daddy get a sleep tonight.

Gaga, I'm sorry to hear your moouth is still painful.
Mick, enjoy your day, I love a good rummage!

Enjoy your Saturday everyone.

Brunette10 Sat 16-Mar-19 07:41:32

Good morning all from a grey, windy Aberdeenshire. Yesterday was not a good day...the mutt and I had a lovely walk in the woods but back at the car, the wind blew the car door back on to my cheekbone and popped a lens out of my glasses, b****r! As I tried to put the said lens back, it fell down the side of the car seat, b****r again! Having managed to drive with one working eye, without hitting anyone, to a local garage, a very kind chap found the lens and fished it out. Next step was to drive, very carefully, to the optician but when I went in, was greeted by four large guys wielding hammers...shop refit time! Anyway, there is another optician in town who helped me out. Back home, my friend arrived and I made the usual mug of tea and forgot that I had balanced a plate of jammy scones on the chair, which I then sat on! B****r again...I should have stayed in bed. Am also sporting a black eye from the bash. Have a mishap free day everyone.
