We’re off tomorrow to look after our daughter and her family in anticipation of the arrival of GD2.
The grass has been cut, hedges trimmed, flower beds weeded and dead heading completed.
Bags are packed with everything except the kitchen sink - dog walking clothes & shoes, toddler walking clothes & shoes (to be fair, there’s not a lot of difference) and ‘meet the new granddaughter’ clothes.
Gifts for all - earplugs and eye masks for the new parents, colouring and story books for GD1 and a new teddy for the new baby.
Bedding and towels so we don’t leave any washing for the, frozen meals so they don’t have to cook and a very large bottle of champagne ?
Do you think I’ve forgotten anything?

medicine? contact lens stuff and glasses (I manage to remember the former but forget the latter!)? favourite shower stuff?

I hope you have a lovely time, though I can't for the life of me imagine what "meet the new granddaughter clothes" might be! (I have done it three times and twice with grandsons and have no recollection of what I wore).

Wipes, hand and face! Am it too late?

Oh enjoy, with DGS1 we lived 180 miles from DD but had arranged to go to stay when he was born. I had part packed cases but he arrived early, emergency C-Section. Cue rush round, make sandwiches for journey & dash down to Devon from Middlesex(Surrey).

When DD was having DG2 she had a date to be induced or maybe C-Section, I was now widowed & living about 10 miles from DD so much easier just Mum's Taxi Service as DD's OH doesn't drive.

Good luck & enjoysmileflowerswine

How fantastic - you’re definitely organised and they’ll love you all the more for it.
I’m sitting thinking I’m not doing enough for my DD she had baby 9 days ago. We can’t get near for the in laws... so make the most of this incredible time ??
