Good Morning Everyone,
Its a clear blue sky start here in Brackley this morning.
Doing my usual day of bus trips to Bicester and Buckingham, with a journey into Buckingham first , then bus to Bicester , then returning to Buckingham.
Coffee and a bap in Bicester, and just a coffee in Buckingham,.
The bus link to Buckingham is restricted so try to relax there more.

Came back on to post that we can all (who love Thornton’s gingers) rest easy in our beds tonight because the Urmston branch had plenty on their shelves! I only bought one bag £3.50 and one bag of Turkish delight (same price) as I’m meant to be on a diet now but I really really wanted some.

Sorry to hear you’re struggling today Tillybelle. x

Tillybelle Thu 20-Jun-19 12:17:53

My usual belated greetings from South Notts where the sun has just gone in and the wind it blows..,
Enjoy your much deserved lunch oldgaijin! Has the chemo finished now? Do hope so! I have Domperidone or whatever they call it, for the sickness I get from Morphine.

Good luck with the results, Marydoll

A "not-day" for me today as the pain is excruciating and I'm struggling.

My best wishes to all who are house-bound and won't see anyone to talk to today! I hope you find something interesting to brighten your day.

Enjoy your trip Mike, it sounds like a good plan you have there.

Ooh gooseberry jam!
Where do you live PamGeo ? Only that’s it’s nice for the GM thread not that I’m planning to come over to share some jam tomorrow ...
?

PamGeo Thu 20-Jun-19 11:32:04

I've wasted my morning with procrastinations blush full of good intentions as I was actually up before 9 for a change.

I've got some gooseberries to make jam with so I guess I'd better crack on before they go mushy.

What's not to love about Chocolate Ginger smile

Urmstongran Thu 20-Jun-19 11:29:13

Thanks NanKate for that. Yes I’ve bought those ‘Borders’ biscuits from Sainsbury’s and they are yummy. But Thornton’s gingers (and Turkish delight when I go in later) are what I’m craving - not a biscuit.
?

Marydoll Thu 20-Jun-19 11:17:44

Thanks Kate, I will keep an eye out. M&S did them at Christmas, but I haven't seen them recently.
I loathe choc gingers, which means my husband doesn't ever need to share! grin

NanKate Thu 20-Jun-19 10:48:24

Hi Mary and All of those of you who like Choc gingers. Sainsbury’s sell some choc ginger biscuits by a company called Border, DH loves them. For those of you who can’t get Thornton’s choc ginger sweets I bought DH a box made by Beech’s from one of those sweet shops that look like old fashioned sweet shops with big plastic sweet bottles. They are in most big towns. Happy munching.

Good morning everyone and hello gmarie.
Dry in Brittany this morning. Off to the local Ble Noir festival this afternoon, any excuse for some nice bread.
Bluesapphire's day sounds lovely.

Good morning everyone from somewhere in the middle of the North Sea. The sun is trying to shine and the sea is calm.

Back on board this lovely ship and really enjoying it. Good journey to Dover yesterday and we set sail at 5pm. Needless to say I had already had my first glass of fizz by then . Excellent food and friendly company. And a great cabin, a double for sole occupancy, so acres of space, and right at the front of the ship overlooking the bows. Did my 6 laps of the deck, (a mile), before breakfast as usual!

No plans for the rest of the day, except sit, relax and watch the sea, and go to a string quartet recital after lunch. Maybe another turn around the deck.

Hope everyone has a good day.

Morning up early today. Waiting for the red cross to collect equipment l no longer need after breaking my ankle last year. Cloudy and sunny. Spring cleaning the bedroom. Hope you all have a good day.

Good morning,
As greyduster says, the weather can't seem to make its mind up here. It's quite a lot breezier than yesterday, but for the moment remains dry.
Food shopping to do today, then ironing.
Out this evening.
Sorry to hear your sad news, dragonfly ?
Enjoy your day. ?

Whoa...I’m back home! Clean bill of health! See my lovely Polish dentist in 9 months time! Hope you are the same

Morning everyone bit brighter here in Bristol at the moment, lazy day for me today, a bit of a tidy up and then a good book . DH hoping to cut the grass if it stays dry , what's the chance do you think.

oldgaijin Thu 20-Jun-19 09:30:41

Good morning from a bright, sunny Aberdeenshire. Am out for lunch today with some girlfriends and looking forward to much hilarity, especially since I've stopped being sick...bloody chemo! They offered me some Dom Perignon, I thought, but it was an anti nausea tablet with a similar name, so no champagne on the NHS then.
Marydoll, have you tried Bonmarche breeks? They come in a 25" leg. ..I have a similar problem, low slung bum.
Have a good day everyone.

lovebeigecardigans1955 Thu 20-Jun-19 09:30:40

Morning all from a (dare I say?) sunny South Notts. You've really been through the wars Marydoll hope things improve.
Have been virtuous this morning, the washer is going and I've tackled the very dusty lampshade in the bathroom - a shameful blanket of dust had formed. The vac on one chair and me standing firmly on 'tother got the job done safely. Phew!
Hope all is well with everyone.

Good morning Auntyflo and all x

Younger granddaughter coming today , it’s her birthday

Hope everyone has a good day x

Hi everyone ?
It's a beautiful sunny day with blue skies and fluffy clouds in Godalming.
A bit of a breeze will prevent it from being too hot ??
My broadband flunked yesterday at about 4pm and they didn't answer phone for the whole hour I tried. Had to use the meagre 1.5GB on mobile. More to it but they will be getting an earful this morning if I can get through.
Motto...never go for a cheap deal with a small company. Lesson learned. I'm leaving them and signed up with EE again.
I hope to have lunch by the river in Guildford today and take some photos.
I hope the sun shines for everyone and a good or better day is had by all.

Good morning from sunny Leicestershire.

We received the devastating news that my DH's best friend died yesterday. It was expected but no less of a shock and we are both incredibly sad. Cancer is a very cruel disease with so many twists and turns.
We all now have to move forward without his wise advice.

Urmstongran Thu 20-Jun-19 08:25:04

Oh Marydoll !!
We have a Thornton’s a 2 minute walk round the corner. I shall be in the square there on my way to the library this afternoon and will call in.
I’ll bob on here (much later) and let you and Lins know!

gmarie Thu 20-Jun-19 08:21:44

Thank you for the welcoming greetings! I guess I'll try to get some sleep. I never feel lonely during the day but every once in awhile I'm feeling blue at night and at those times living alone can feel oppressive. Your mornings sound lovely. smile

Pittcity Thu 20-Jun-19 08:21:25

Good morning from sunny Colchester. Far less humid than of late.
DH had a knee arthroscopy yesterday and has me running around for him. I just caught him in the kitchen making himself coffee.....

Mythbirtthedragon Thu 20-Jun-19 08:19:26

Good morning from East London, bright and sunny this morning. Quiet day until school pick up then it’s swimming lesson for GD and choir this eve for me. (I do need to practise for that). Have a good day.

EllanVannin Thu 20-Jun-19 08:19:01

Good Morning All x
Cloudy and not so warm here in the NW, so a jumper at the ready.
May get a flying visit from Aussie family today they've been going round frantic visiting friends and family since they landed hoping not to miss anyone out. I've got plenty in in case they want something to eat.

Appointment to see the nurse later for my INR blood test-----can't see anything untoward with the result as it's been pretty steady for a while now( I hope )

No shopping or washing to do for at least a week and just a phone-call and letter to write today so a laid-back day for me.

Hoping everyone's day goes to plan.
