Good Morning Everyone,
Its a blue sky this morning with clouds clearing, supposed to be a warm day as well.
My usual trip out to Buckingham and Bicester , mainly for a change of scenery but I often bump into former work colleagues.

Good morning Mick. Doesn't it make a difference to waken up to the sunshine and blue sky? Enjoy your trip to town.

I've already done a major kitchen clean after a marathon cooking and baking evening. Loving having my DD and DGS here despite all the extra work, we're just having fun and it's such a change from my normal solitary existence!

GS and I are off to my usual painting group this morning and I'm hoping a fellow painter is going to teach him how he works as he's so talented.

Hope everyone has a lovely day. If you're feeling unwell, take care of yourself and get better soon. flowers

Morning mick, morning ginny.

Its still greyish in North Leicestershire but the theory is that it should improve.

Off to the start of the next Carer's course this morning. Much better than the last one which was in the evening.

Sainsbury's this afternoon.

Enjoy your trip ^mick* and your painting class, ginny.

Good Morning everyone.
A more cheerful start to the day than of late. Dry and I can see some blue.
A craft day for me then putting the bins out for tomorrow.

Wishing you all a pleasant day and enjoy what you do ?

Good morning everyone from a gloriously sunny South Manchester. Summer has arrived!

We are off to 6y old grandson’s sports day this morning. Probably a good idea it’s being held in a morning- before it gets too hot!

Hope Thursday is good to us all whether we have plans or none. x

gillybob Thu 27-Jun-19 07:10:26

Good morning from the NE coast where we have a bright and (dare I say?) sunny start to the day. We are off to a good start this morning with satisfied customers in the breakfast cafe, uniforms all ready and layed out etc. It’s all looking good unless DGD1 decides she needs to straighten her hair, in which case.......we’ll be running around like headless chickens at 8.15 !

After the school runs it’s off to “that place” to spend another day of torture. I’m so glad it’s Thursday.

Have a good day everyone x

Good morning to each and Everyone x
I've been awake for over an hour thinking it was later than it was because of the sun streaming through the bedroom.
Yes----we have sun and the making of a grand day, though cool out at the moment.

My stomach's rumbling with hunger and sounding like a drain, goodness me. I'll have to forego my usual crumpets and have a fresh egg and some toast. Or both !

D is making her way to Liverpool airport shortly to pick up our friend from Holland who'll be staying at D's until Wednesday. She's an ex-girlfriend of my GS from 6/7 years ago but has remained a firm friend of the family with a number of exchange visits over these years. The woman is Dutch with an American accent having been brought up by an American nanny while parents worked.
Looking forward to seeing her-----she calls me nan.

There was a house fire in the next road to me yesterday morning along with a gas explosion. All the emergency services were there of course. The elderly occupant was burning rubbish in the back and often left her gas taps on, so she was taken to a residential home, uninjured but certainly a safety issue living on her own. Inside the house is smoke ruined so she won't be going back there.
Nothing worse than fire.

Right, breakfast now before I starve to death so have a good day everyone.

Morning all.

It's very grey in Kent which I wasn't expecting. I did a load of washing last night and was planning on putting it out this morning.
DH and DD have the day off so when he returns from his walk he will cook us all breakfast. Then a bit of housework for me.
Have a good day everyone.

Morning to all from a gloriously sunny Fife, at long last! Have some chores to do today but going to enjoy this lovely wether while it lasts. May even have a trip to the capital over the next few days. Sun always brings smiles to faces let's hope it lasts for a while. Enjoy today.

Grammaretto Thu 27-Jun-19 07:37:17

Good morning everyone from the Scottish Borders. A bright and sunny day though we'll be on the bus to the hospital for hours today for the usual monthly treatment.
Just home after a couple of days with the DGC in Aberdeenshire where it was still light at 11pm.

Lins1066 Thu 27-Jun-19 07:41:50

Good Morning. It is a beautiful morning on S Welsh coast, warm and sunny. Yesterday we had a cloudy start but in the afternoon there wasn't a cloud in the sky.
DH doing voluntary work at a local NT property this morning.
Hope everyone has a good day.

NanKate Thu 27-Jun-19 07:45:20

Morning Mick and All.

Lovely bright day in South Bucks.

We are off to Stoke Park for a bbq lunch and then to watch their Tennis Tournament with the lovely young Greek Tsistipas (I think that’s how you spell it) against Bautista Agut the Spaniard. Then hopefully a cream tea and possibly something bubbly in a glass. I daren’t have a drink before the tennis in case I start snoring during the match ?

aggie Thu 27-Jun-19 07:47:44

GabriellaG54 Thu 27-Jun-19 07:48:30

Good morning everyone.
Blue skies with sun and some cloud here plus a bit of a breeze in Godalming.
I really don't know how you cope and sound so cheerful gillybob with all that you do for others esp your GC.
Uniforms laid out , that used to be me, plus polishing shoes each evening and lining them up in the hall grin
Have a wonderful time at your GCs sports day Urmstongran, he'll no doubt do you proud.
I so wish mine were little again -precious days.
Nothing much on for me, just see how the day unfolds. I might book tickets to see The Girl On The Train on at The Yvonne Arnaud Theatre Guildford next month.
Meanwhile, warm good wishes to everyone and ?? for those of you not feeling 100%.

Morning Mick, morning All from a sunny if very windy corner of Somerset. Pottering today, roses to dead head and general garden tidying. Must remember to water our neighbours garden and myriad of pots later or she will return next week to find a lot of items for compost. Hope Thursday is kind to everyone.

Marydoll Thu 27-Jun-19 07:57:07

Good morning all from a very sunny Glasgow.

The washing is out and the Chelsea buns are rising. It's my husband's birthday today and he has requested Chelsea buns instead of a birthday cake.

We had a lovely day out in Largs yesterday, lunch, some retail therapy, an Italian ice cream and a game of putting.
I got a hole in one, which I think put my husband's nose out of joint. grin
The views, while we were playing, were stunning, looking across the water to Bute and Cumbrae.

After four weeks, my GP at last has signed my travel insurance claim, I hope it's not too late. I'm off to the post office to post it and then having an easy day until we pick up my granddaughter from nursery.
Yesterday's outing has left me exhausted, but it was all worth it.

Have a pleasant day, whatever your plans.

NanKate Thu 27-Jun-19 08:05:15

Glad you are out and about Mary even if you need a catch up day or two afterwards.

If there is a Chelsea bun over can I have it ?

harrigran Thu 27-Jun-19 08:09:36

Good morning from a lovely sunny NE.
We are meeting friends for lunch, halfway between both our homes so we each have an hour's drive.
DD arrived in the UK for a short break, hopefully catch up with her at some point.

BlueSapphire Thu 27-Jun-19 08:13:38

Good morning everyone from the Baltic Sea again. We are approaching Helsinki, but sad to say it is still raining... Supposed to clear up a bit this afternoon, certainly hope so, as I am booked on a city highlights tour and boat trip. It poured with rain all day in Stockholm yesterday, so spoiled our enjoyment a bit, but still got to see quite a bit of that beautiful city. Bought one or two things for DDil, as she is Swedish, and from Stockholm.

We are two hours ahead of you, so it is just gone 10 am, and I have just had a two hour pedicure/manicure treatment, which was so relaxing.

Am going to get a coffee now and read in the 'Drawing Room' on the top deck. Then an early lunch before my tour.

Have a good day everyone.

Greyduster Thu 27-Jun-19 08:16:52

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. As yet, the sun is not keen to put in an appearance in South Yorkshire. A day of tidying and a bit of food shopping today. I am faced with a weekend of cooking for various folks, so I had better get myself organised. Tonight, however, we are eating out, so that will be nice. Have a good day folks.

NfkDumpling Thu 27-Jun-19 08:18:03

Morning All

A bit cloudy this morning but the sun is trying to break through. Hopefully it will, it got rather chilly here yesterday afternoon! A brisk breeze means the grass should be dry enough to cut later and a bit of gardening done.

Really pleased to see a couple of greenfinches around again this morning. We’ve not had any for the last few years.

Sprout Thu 27-Jun-19 08:18:39

Morning Mick and all. Busy day taking dogs for their hair cut. Then Lunch with my best friend. Shopping Library then home hopefully to get the grass cut as won't be able to see the dogs. and they don't like long grass. Have a good day everyone.

Good morning all from dare I say a hopeful sunny ne. I home alone and didn't sleep at all well last night. Hubby and sons have gone to Manchester yesterday to see the Eagles. They were fab as husband said. Off to work soon so must get a shake on.happy Thursday all.

Auntieflo Thu 27-Jun-19 08:57:07

Morning Michael, Annie to come, and all. The sun is shining here and we have a cloudless blue sky smile DH says he is taking the car for a wash and brush up later, and there was something else he mentioned yesterday, but I can't remember what!
Last night we went to a summer concert at the Church, where one of our very talented organist/pianist's, delighted us with his choice of music. Why is music so emotional, sometimes I could just cry at the drop of a hat?
Gillybob, it's Thursday, cheers, soon be Friday and the weekend.
Have a good day one and all.
