That is worrying, she is on every day.

Urmstongran Tue 28-Jan-20 13:41:57

No post today from EllenVannin? She has been really unwell, scarily so for her at times she said.

Are you alright Ellen? x

GrannyGravy13 Tue 28-Jan-20 13:23:38

Sorry to hear your news regarding Mr.Gillybob Gillybob, sending virtual love and hugs at this worrying time.

MawB Tue 28-Jan-20 12:58:40

Bellasnana it is indeed the Guthrie - it’s Twelfth Night and she is the designer, so once it opens they can come home and she gets ready for the Strauss opera Frau Ohne Schatten in Amsterdam .

Marydoll Tue 28-Jan-20 12:58:05

Good morning, FrancesLilian, go to the top of the page, look at the Acronyms tab on the left hand side and the meanings of the capital letters will be revealed! grin

dragonfly46 Tue 28-Jan-20 12:31:28

Welcome FrancesLilian

FrancesLilian Tue 28-Jan-20 12:29:24

Hello All, I’m a new member. Just registered! Am just a bit confused trying to work out what all the capital letters mean! Also I have just ordered an alarm recommended on this granset sight, but, haven’t received an email confirming my purchase. Bit of a worry don’t you all think. I live in hope all is well with my order! Best wishes to you all on this beautiful sunny day here in north London.

Oh Gillybob. Hope something positive comes out of your husband's admission to hospital and that they are able to operate and relieve his pain.

Mapleleaf Tue 28-Jan-20 11:43:03

Morning everyone,

It's cold and sunny here at the moment, but it keeps clouding over and raining.

So sorry to read your husband is back in hospital gilly and send you best wishes and the hope that something will now be done to help Mr Gilly. Take care ?

Best wishes to all other GN's going through trials and tribulations.

Nortsat46 Tue 28-Jan-20 11:20:01

Good morning Mick and the GM team.
Sending good thoughts to Oldgaijin, the Gillybobs, Marydoll and to all who are facing challenges today.
DoraMarr - what a poppet.

We had a very nice family lunch yesterday and my partner’s cousin had made a delicious seeded bread ... which was much praised and enjoyed.

We stayed too long chatting and reminiscing, then we got caught in the rush hour traffic on the way home. It took us 2 hours to drive 8 miles ...
We were really tired when we got home and slept like logs last night.

Have a good day, all. ?

Bathsheba Tue 28-Jan-20 10:50:39

Kalu Tue 28-Jan-20 10:05:03

Good morning from a very chilly Glasgow ?

Hoping your appointment has a positive outcome Marydoll. That hill is a killer indeed.
Sorry to hear your DH is back in hospital gilly
Best wishes to you and the mutt Oldgaijin

Started on a stronger dose of pain control meds. yesterday and they are knocking me sideways. Cloudy head and unsteady which means I can’t drive. ?I am sticking with it hoping things settle but, if not, I will figure out a suitable dosage I can cope with?

Won’t be doing much today.

Best wishes to all in the sick bay and a pleasant day to all.

BladeAnnie Tue 28-Jan-20 10:04:51

Good morning all from a chilly cold mid Notts. Gillybob I feel like I know you after following your awful journey so sending you my very best wishes that your DH will be soon on the mend. Ginster my DOH and I loved 1917 when we went last week but we both like war films so can understand that it may not be everyone's cup of tea. Have a good day everyone and special thoughts to our friends with troubles of any kind x

flowersfromheaven Tue 28-Jan-20 09:59:27

Good Morning all, It keeps trying to rain with a bit of sleet but its very cold here in Sheffield, hopefully it will brighten up before I head over to see my DD and beautiful Granddaughter.

Jangran99 Tue 28-Jan-20 09:58:18

So sorry gilly to read of this setback. You are both in my thoughts and prayers flowers

Bellasnana Tue 28-Jan-20 09:50:40

Good morning all from Malta where it is a beautiful, sunny day.

So very sorry to hear your DH has had another setback, gillybob, you must be worn out with worrying.flowers

Maw is your D going to be at the Guthrie? My DD1 lived in Minneapolis for a couple of years and took me to two excellent productions there. South Pacific and West Side Story. I was very impressed.

Sorry your GS has croup, it’s horrible and can be scary. Two of my DD’s had it when small so I know what it’s like.?

I’m very late getting going today, haven’t got any plans but must get out for a long walk somewhere. I get lazier by the day now I’ve no DH to chivvy me.?

Best wishes to all, sorry for not mentioning everyone, but you are all in my thoughts and especially those of you struggling with troubles and ill health. I hope the sunshine will come out for you very soon.

Urmstongran Tue 28-Jan-20 09:45:09

A very wet good morning everyone from South Manchester. 39 posts on here when I clicked on and it’s taken me half an hour to read them all. I might start setting my alarm clock ha!

Oh gillybob I’m so sorry that your husband is poorly again. Perhaps they will organise his bladder surgery more quickly now that they witness the pain he suffers. You must be out of your mind with worry.

DoraMarr what your 3y old granddaughter said was too cute!

Marydoll I hope your cardiac appointment goes well and you tell them of the bad angina attack you had on Sunday.

You are in my thoughts today too Scentia I hope you enjoy bathing your baby grandson tonight. Being with these little people is balm to the soul.

A quiet day in today. I’m addicted to catch up of a silly programme my son in law recommended on Sunday. Half hour episodes on BBC called ‘King Gary’ - I’m laughing away!

We are doing the school pick up at 3pm, taking our 7y old grandson to his home, giving him his tea then driving him to his swimming lesson. When we are home, little helps like this take the pressure off the busy family.

Hope Tuesday is kind to us all whether we have plans or none. x

Good morning all from N Bucks where it is sunny and cold.
So sorry to hear about Mr Gillybob and also Mr Lins1066. Wishing you both well.
Book club this morning, then Hattie to kennels sad as I am off to London for a couple of days to help out with DGS. D flies out to Minneapolis for three weeks for a production and the poor little chap has croup. So hard for her to leave him, but SIL is taking him out next week for two weeks and he (DGS) is very excited at the prospect of snow (Also he is convinced he will meet Captain America smile )
Wishing you all a pleasant day.

Susan56 Tue 28-Jan-20 09:35:20

Thinking of you and your husband gilly.x?

Annapops Tue 28-Jan-20 09:26:11

Such sad news Gilly. I hope things will improve for you both soon. X

Curlywhirly Tue 28-Jan-20 09:19:04

Good morning from a very wet Cheshire. Just working myself up to taking the dog out in the rain; hope it stops before I take her on her much longer lunchtime walk. Quiet day, might pop round to my son's and do a bit of cleaning for him (sadly, I do quite enjoy cleaning and especially ironing, find it very theraputic ?).

Gillbob, so sorry to hear Mr Gillybob has been taken to hospital, hope they manage to sort him out. Take care. thanks
