Namaste
I’m booked on the Queen Victoria along with another GNetter
In May, we’re supposed to be going to the Baltic.
I’m asthmatic, so I do hope we go.

Soop's kind, caring and sharing kitchen.
(1001 Posts)Here we are again. Happy as can be...all good pals and jolly good company.
Whatever we need to share...feel free to join in.
smileless2012 we are booked to go to Cyprus in May, we go every year same time, same hotel (unless DD and GC join us then we go to the next door “sister hotel” as our usual one is adult only)
I am hopeful that we shall still go, for us it is the beginning of the summer.
(I have been browsing internet for summer clothes that I desperately need
Mr. S. is doing well thanks chicken.
As soon as I saw the pic of your GD I knew she was Moaning Murtle from Harry Potter kitty. She looks great and first prize was well deserved.
It's so hard to sit back and watch a loved one do what we think may be a mistake. Knowing that you're there for your niece is what's important and maybe gave her the confidence to try again.
I accidentally bought two linen summer dresses last week for my holiday with a couple of friends to Italy at the end of May GrannyGravy; just hope we'll be able to go.
soop I know exactly what I would do with that big lottery win, (the one that never comes!).I would employ a full-time handyman and gardener---he or she would never be short of something to do around here.
Gg I hope the weather takes a hint from your new sandals. My late mother had tiny feet , size two , and usually had to make do with children's shoes. She used to be jubilant if she found something fashionable that fitted.
Baggs I really envy your sense of colour and your combinations of jewel shades. Beautiful!
Smileless I hope your DH is feeling better by the day.
kitty Your granddaughter is a worthy winner. She obviously has talent and style. Well done to her.
Your neice needs to make her own choices. Sometimes a second chance works out well. If not, she have your kind support to comfort her. I wish her well.
GrannyGravy13 Accidentally I like it.
My late mother wore a size two and a half size shoe. She lived in Northampton, famous (at the time) for boot and shoe manufacture. She was, on occasions, able to buy sample shoes to fit at a reasonable price. I wear a size 4. Used to be size 5. Like the rest of me, I've shrunk. Is that the correct word? I often sit and wonder whether I'm making stuff up.
Logging off until we return from the care home visit. Doesn't time fly.
TOYA and hoping that our N&G is being cosseted.
And your house is full of love soop, as is the kitchen, and that is what is important! Ted looks fabulous and so pleased with himself.
Hope you feel better soon n&g but I have sanitised the door handles, cups etc just to be on the safe side!!
Bit of Ma type boasting here - dgd1 aged 11, has just won first prize in the WBD competition at school. She is Moaning Minnie who lives in a toilet (from Harry Potter, what else) and she did it all by herself. She is very proud and so am I!!
On a less happy note, after 2 days in her own flat, dn has gone back to her husband. I know all the reasons why she would go back but we are so sad and disappointed! But, at least she knows we are here for her.
It has been raining here is S E Essex all flipping day.
I ventured into Lakeside (out of town shopping centre) to take a watch into be repaired, it was very quiet. I managed to accidentlly order two pairs of summer sandals to be delivered here tomorrow (I have small feet and very rarely do I find my size in store, but the man in Office was very kind and helpful and it's free delivery)
This afternoon I have had a snooze in the chair along with our 8 week old GS, DD slept on the sofa, fortunately GrandpaGravy stayed awake and collected other GS from school
I now need to decide what is for dinner???
Baggs beautiful quilting you are one talented lady x

chicken When we built our home some sixteen or so years ago, we were both super fit. MacS was responsible for the carpentry. I was painter and decorator. What I would give to have some much-needed maintenance carried outside and within. The garden is also very demanding. We need both cash and expertise. Never mind. We are grateful for our lot.
Megs36 Sometimes it is difficult to remember to mention all those Granspals that deserve a kind word. TOYA seems like a satisfactory solution to the quandry. By heck, I've come over all "wordy". Must be that the sun is sort of shining in bonnie Kintyre.
Megs36 T, thinking, O of, Y you, A all.
It's been chucking it down with rain all day here and it looks like marshland all around us. I had good friends here this morning for our weekly meet up where we set the world to rights, but we were all preoccupied and worried by this virus outbreak. We are all elderly with frail husbands and know all too well that we are vulnerable, so depression was all too present. A bit of sunshine might cheer us up.
On the more cheerful front, we now have a new floor in the garage so no more danger of an unexpected descent into the cellar, also a window in place of the gaping hole where the rain beat in. An old property needs constant maintenance---and expense.
TOYA !
What does TOYA mean?
He's adorable soop.
It's sunny and reasonably mild here Charleygirl and has been all week. That's often the way with large companies, when we were in business we always found the smaller independent ones more efficient and reliable.
Sorry you're not feeling well NannandGrampy hope thesewill cheer you up.
Sorry to hear you are feeling poorly N&G. I hope Sam is resting.
soop what a handsome and happy little pirate.
Sorry to hear that you are unwell, N&G. You must rest. Drink plenty of fluids. Be waited on hand and foot. Gentle (hugs) from Us lot
Morning all,
I’m a bit poorly ( not Coronavirus ?) so I’ve been a bit quiet and always I am way behind on the thread.
I’ll just say how much I love Baggs beautiful work !
Sending good wishes to all and I’ll be back when I feel a bit better xx
It is sunny here aboots, Charleyg. Chilly with it. I am trying my hardest to get motivated. The painting has to start sometime soon. Once I lift the paint brush, there'll be no stopping me.
Smileless I agree. This is a large company which over the years have bought out smaller companies and now I get the impression the right hand does not know what the left hand is doing. The money is still in my bank account- not earning a vast amount of interest but it is still mine.
It is raining heavily here- I am fed up with it.

I am preparing my easel for the start of a much-loved dog portrait. Keeps me out of mischief!
Beautiful work, Baggs
Galen You know darn well that MacS's picture was nothing like that chap in Pompeii. My photograph was tasteful, discreet, ever-so-slightly arty.
Smileless It's just as well that you can stomach the tone that tickles the kitcheners from time to time. All harmless stuff. No one gets an earful. On the other hand, a sightful... When Galen feels like perking up the passions.
It does make you wonder how some businesses manage when they delay sending out invoices and getting paid Charleygirl.
Cash flow is so important; sorry you didn't get it for free though!
Baggs your patchwork quilts are seriously good, I love the colours.
At the beginning of September last year, I made enquiries about fitting a new stairlift and eventually it was done but nobody sent me an invoice. Somebody has woken up at last and realised I have not paid a penny. Here was me thinking it was free!
Baggs that’s really lovely. You have a way with colour which I’m afraid I’m sadly lacking. I usually buy colour ranges in jelly rolls, charms or layer cakes so that someone else does the colour matching for me. ?
I use cotton patch too smileless and Moda fabrics are nice too.
TOYA ?
I gave it up after 30 minutes- I really did not enjoy it.
