Good Morning Everyone,
Its yet another day of dry and sunny weather awaits, despite wind chill.
Today, my routine with some housework, maybe pick up those dumbells and swing them about for 5 minutes .
Getting through the first 4 weeks of the lockdown was hard enough.
But I have started to relax a little and take everyday as it comes.
Mick

Good morning again from Leicestershire. Its lovely and bright but, as dragonfly says, it is cold.

Can your daughter not come and collect Dexter, dragonfly? It seems a huge responsibility for you.

We had a huge treat arrive yesterday from DD1 - pyclets!! I used to go to a particular stall in Derby with my nan for pyclets. They are still going and now do gluten free as well. So pyclets for breakfast.

Hugs for gilly.

I wish we had the warmth that you have there Urmston, I can imagine how it was this time of year. I wish I was there !
I can't handle the cold here at all.
Enjoy x

The worry of that poor dog Dragonfly. Things are bad enough without having a sick animal to see to as well x

Unless I get stuck in to something I'm going to have one of " those " days--I can feel it in my water.

Good Morning from a sunny Fife, its warming up a bit as had hoped so will potter about in the garden today assisting DH. I am still sleeping well in fact much better than normal so the lockdown must be doing me some good, let's hope so. Thinking of everyone today, we should all be giving ourselves a big pat on the back, we are doing as advised so will get through this together. For all who have troubles, anxieties, it can't be easy at all. Keep your chin up.

Unfortunately kitty daughter lives in SE London and they left their car here when they dropped Dexter off in February to go to Australia. They have another old car but someone stole the catalytic converter from it on their drive so they have no transport. I am not sure a sick dog is enough reason to break lockdown although I shouldn’t really be going to the vet as I am shielding!

kittylester Tue 21-Apr-20 08:44:49

I'd forgotten about the car part dragonfly - what a total pain.

Good morning from a bright and breezy Gower.
Well done son of Lins!
Poor Dexter, I hope the extra eye drops work dragonfly.
Reading some of the posts from some of you I am getting outdoor walking envy. Enjoy the simple pleasure those of you who can ?? ??️ .
Susan, I hope little Henry is okay and that sentiment goes to you and the rest of your family too.
Good to know Gillybob has posted elsewhere.
annsixty, you are in my thoughts?
Not sure what I'm going to do today but I am making kofties and flat breads to have with the last of the salad for dinner later.
Have the best day you can everyone, take care and stay safe ❤️

Good morning Mick and all x

It is bright and sunny with a light breeze here in S E Essex.

I got the ironing completed, yesterday, but sadly not the hand washing if the sweaters, which I will do today?

Other than that I have absolutely no plans at all, 36 days without stepping outside the house and I am running out of jobs (or am I just being extremely lazy and only doing what I fancy?)

Pleased the weather is warming up for you Urmstongran

Hope Dexter improves Dragonfly

Hi gillybob wishing you a better day flowers

Keep safe and well folks ?

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. Very cool here in South Yorkshire but sunny. We had a delivery of plants from the garden centre yesterday, so will be sorting out and cleaning pots for them to go in today. I hope we have enough pots - I went a tiny bit overboard ?. They are lovely strong plants, but they will need frost protection for a few weeks so it’s going to be very cluttered in the conservatory. Have a good safe day, folks.

Greyduster Tue 21-Apr-20 08:56:13

Annie there was a wonderful programme on tv last night about the Brecon Beacons. I wonder if you saw it? Thought about you!

This is the birthday cake my lovely granddaughters made for me yesterday. They and their dad rang the front door bell, and when I opened the inner door, they had put presents and cards in the porch, together with the cake, and the candle lit! They sang Happy birthday through the front door glass. I felt quite tearful.....

Anyway, good morning to all from a sunny Northampton. No plans for today except for the usual household jobs.

My birthday dinner was a disaster! Had planned to eat about 6.45pm, but DD wanted a video chat on WhatsApp at 6 o'clock, which went on for half an hour. Just as we were finishing the landline went and it was my brother wanting a chat, so that was another 20 minutes and by that time the duck was burnt to a crisp, and I still had to cook the saute potatoes and make the orange sauce. The duck was near enough inedible and the best thing on the plate was the potatoes. Even the orange sauce didn't turn out right! Ah well, the Prosecco made up for it!

Later on I rang my cousin who also had a birthday yesterday and had a good long chat. He is a year older than me. We have always exchanged cards, and I felt bad because I hadn't been able to get one for him this year, and I had a lovely one from him.

Have a troublesome ear at the moment; I've either got an infection or it is badly blocked, it's been going on for a week to 10 days. I shall put an order in for some eardrops and some Otex when I get a delivery slot to see if that does any good. There is no way I am going anywhere near the surgery. Remember having it before, and it was just a matter of waiting ages before it cleared up on its own.

Hoping we all have a good day.

Good morning. Bright sunshine but a bitterly cold wind here in NE Hampshire. Feeling so sad for all the terrible suffering in the world and particularly for Gnetters who have more than their fair share of troubles. If only I had a magic wand....

Grammaretto Tue 21-Apr-20 09:09:52

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders where the sky is blue and there's a slight breeze. Perfect weather.

I have zoom yoga this morning. Last week the relaxation went on so long, eventually I looked up at my screen and it was blank and silent. The battery was dead. That's my kind of relaxation. wink

I think, like most things dragonfly we do them as long as we can, but if it gets too much for you to manage then you become an essential worker and entitled to use the roads.

Family quiz tonight. I'm always last because I know nothing of modern culture and sport but I love seeing the DC and DGC. We have to do it when it's morning in NZ and not too late here.

Sorry to hear about your troubles and sadnesses. Lovely to hear of your joys!

Good morning all,

Another bright but very breezy day here in South Yorkshire. At least we are being blessed with beautiful blue sky and bright sunshine. I just wish the pesky strong breeze would abate.

Not a lot planned today, but need to tackle the supermarket at some point. It’s drumming up the enthusiasm to go and queue to get in that’s putting me off. Oh well, needs must.

Hope you all have the best day you can. Keep safe, everyone.

Good morning to everyone from East London . Woke up at 8.30 this morning having had a disturbed night . I don’t think I was active enough yesterday, I spent a long time going through old paperwork , bringing back memories of holidays and late DH ‘s meticulous notes ,so probably didn’t help. But has to be done . I will do a little at a time I think as there is no rush ! Today I’m in the garden and a brisk walk to the bluebell wood for the last time this year so hope I sleep better .BlueSapphire so sorry your birthday dinner was spoilt but the cake looked nice !

Gelisajams Tue 21-Apr-20 09:21:04

Good morning everyone from a sunny breezy Morecambe Bay. I know it’s breezy because we are just back home from our early morning exercise on the bike. This was my third ride after a 30 year hiatus! I’ve got quite a few bruises on my legs from the pedals spinning and hitting me! Hopefully I will get better...
Not much else planned for today. Will perhaps sew a few masks for when we are told we need to wear them. Stay safe everyone.

GabriellaG54 Tue 21-Apr-20 09:24:35

That had me laughing kittylester.
Maybe that's the olde fashioned way of spelling pikelets? ?

Nannatwiglet Tue 21-Apr-20 09:26:17

Morning everyone...another lovely day today!

Good to hear everyone’s thoughts, grumbles, plans for the day to come...

Our fridge &freezer were a bit low on supplies yesterday, but as we are shielding, our cheery neighbour shopper (Rose) arrived with laden bags. Shopping on line hasn’t been that effective recently...
Rose is married, in her 40s &was never able to have her own family. She has always been the first person to help us -and other neighbours - in times of emergency.
Can anyone suggest how we might be able to thank her for her help, support &good neighbourliness after this ghastly lockdown has ended.....?

Good morning from the sunny, breezy Costa del Angus. I hope that area of high pressure never moves - I could get used to this! Mick, one day at a time is the best way to go - even one hour. Just don't let yourself think ahead - it becomes a habit, ignoring the future. I don't always follow my own advice mind! But I'm happier and more content when I do. Lins1066 my GD3 did the three fives yesterday - run 5, donate 5, nominate 5 - for the NHS. I donated £5 too, on condition that she didn't nominate me!! Now GD1 is doing it today so that's another fiver. But so worthwhile. Lovely facetime with their mum last night - we WhatsApp everyday, but lovely to see her as well. Talking of seeing, I was at the front of the house waiting for my Tesco delivery when a couple walked past, so I waved and the lady came back and did a great pantomime of waving too. I very nearly went over to speak to her, but then realised ...... Actually it was the husband I thought I recognised as an ex tai chi student, but he obviously didn't recognise me, if it was him. And no wonder with my long white hair floating all over the place!! Now I must beautify myself (ha ha) to face the sunshine! Enjoy this beautiful day everyone, as best you can. ???

Good morning all from a bright and sunny mid-Notts. I was looking for a knitting pattern yesterday and my magazines and patterns are in such a muddle I think I'll spend time today sorting them. I bought magazine boxes AGES ago- just haven't got round to it. Curry tonight to use up some chicken from the freezer and peppers and tomatoes from the fridge. DOHs speciality is curry so he's on kitchen duty!! Stay safe and may Tuesday be kind to us all x

gillybob Tue 21-Apr-20 09:30:52

Good morning from the NE coast where it is bright and sunny but quite windy .

I’m determined not to say anything miserable so I shall just say a massive thank you to everyone for their good wishes and kind words .

I’m hoping for call backs from various people today (not holding my breath) but will be popping up to “that place” in line with insurance /security anyway.

A belated Happy Birthday to you BlueSapphire what a lovely surprise that must’ve been . Sorry your evening meal was spoiled . Thank goodness for Prosecco!

Wishing everyone the best day possible.

Love Gillybob x
