Strange happenings in the bathroom!

I bought a Father Christmas shaped hand soap dispenser to use in the bathroom over the festive season, I have noticed that everytime I go into the bathroom it is turned to face the wall. My OH admitted that he was doing this because he thought it looked sinister! Of course I dismissed this appropriately - as you do! This morning, as usual went to use the bathroom after OH and as usual noticed FC facing the wall then carried out the tidying session always needed before I can use the bathroom, replacing towels etc. Had my shower then while drying off noticed that FC was now facing the right way and did indeed look very sinister! Now I know I probably replaced him while on auto pilot tidying mode but I dont remember doing it! It could just be approaching madness, but to be on the safe side I might put him away somewhere. Does anyone else have untrustworthy household items or is it just me?

Our tv has started to turn itself off after about five hours of running, I dont know if it is a safety thing, but it is strange. It is seven years old, surely it cant be giving up the ghost yet!

For my daughters 6th birthday l bought her a doll called Cricket that you could put a tape in to her and her mouth moved as she sang the special Cricket songs. My daughter who has always been a comedian since she was born put a Rod Stewart tape in Cricket so the time I saw the doll sitting on the kitchen table with her mouth moving and hearing Rod singing “tonight’s the night” was unnerving.

I'd a TV that was turning itself on, got a new one a couple of months ago cos I thought I'd end up having a heart attack some night with it coming on. First night it did it I woke thinking I'd burglars in my house so it really needed to go.

We had the 12 days of Christmas display on glass shelves in the foyer of the library. The milking maids faced into the library, but the next morning had often turned round. We thought they were having a dance when no one was about.

Some years ago living in a bungalow I bought my grandson the Strawberry Shortcake bear from Toy Story 3. It said various phrases when you pressed different paws. I was expecting their arrival so tucked the bear into the bed he was going to sleep in. Sometime later went to the loo and as living alone didn't shut the door fully. While in mid flow heard this creepy male voice say "Hallo". Though startled thought it must be from outside so carried on. Then heard "Hallo. Is anybody there?" You can imagine the scene as I tried to finish up, hoist up pants, and close the door!? I honestly thought my neighbour (or a burglar) had come in! It took me at least an hour of searching around to realise it was that creepy bear!
My grandson never liked the bear either!!

I have a carriage clock inherited from my sister. When it stopped working I took it to a click repairer who told me it was quite valuable (which I didn’t know). The repair estimate he gave me was quite expensive so I said I would think about it. The following morning the clock was working!

Going back 15 years, my daughter decided she needed an 'angel' type baby monitor - a new fangled gadget to me.

She switched it on one evening, came downstairs and we listened out for my baby grandson.

We heard voices, a man and woman cooing and giggling, a baby laughing. Shocked, my daughter shot upstairs - to find him fast asleep.

Obviously, somebody nearby had the same channel/bandwidth as us.

We wondered (and worried about) what we'd all said or done - and if they'd heard us. The monitor went straight in the bin!

My soap dispensers are well behaved but I have a TV in the bedroom like Blinko s.
I don’t know if it’s at the same time as I haven’t looked at the clock but it is in the middle of the night. I don’t unplug it as I’m afraid it might mess with the settings.

We stayed in a converted piggery in France one year and the loo flushed itself occasionally during the night - quite spooky as the only access was through our bedroom. Also the digital radio I. The conservatory turns itself on during the night, so always has to be unplugged!
