Herrings, that awful tripe we used to have when we were young. Nasty white stuff with onions. I don’t like honey, either but that’s about it, I like most food.

Milk, except in cheese sauce or chocolate drinks
Beetroot, unless partnered with goat's cheese!
Raw onion in a salad

Tripe
Liver
I have a dairy intolerance, milk and when my DH makes his porridge I'm gagging. The smell is revolting, yes any heated milk is the same.
Fresh cream has me throwing up!
Hot spicy food

Never tried tripe
I can't bear anything spicy, just the smell of curry or garlic makes me heave.
Anything aniseed, eg liquorice, fennel, star anise
Any milk puddings (forced to eat them until I threw up as a child)

I ate tripe once in Spain. It wasn't offensive, because of the way it was cooked, but it would be a stretch to say I enjoyed it.

My DH's auntlived in Spain, married to a Spaniard. She cooked a beautiful rich stew and refused to tellus what the meat was, It was delicious and so was the meat - which turned out to be tripe.

She gave me the recipe, but when I made it in England it was not comparable. Whether we dress tripe differently, I do not know. Either way the recipe just did not travel well.

Anything flavoured with caraway.

I'd eat anything else.

I am vegetarian so don't eat any meats anyway, but the thought of offal makes me especially queasy

Anything with lumps that shouldn't be there ( custard, mashed potatoes)

Butter, soft bland cheese, but can eat some cream on trifle for example, milk as a drink

Olives ( not good when your family are Greek) , Junket, black pudding, cod roe and haggis.

My bubble and I did not like the soya chicken slices substitute. I offered it on the bird table to the blackbirds, squirrels, and wood pigeons and they refused it too.

Rice pudding and scrambled eggs or omelette. It's not the taste that puts me off it's the texture when you put it in you mouth. Just makes me feel sick.

Spam for some reason! I tried the TVP in 1980s,even in a hot curry sauce it was vile. Fortunately there are now more tasty vegetarian alternatives.
Halloumi sets my teeth on edge!

Spam is definitely nasty, I agree. I don’t like fish fingers or chicken nuggets much . You don’t know what’s in ‘em. Kid’s food.

Dorsetcupcake61 Sat 23-Jan-21 13:04:48

The problem with chicken nuggets is I have a pretty good idea what's in most of them ?.

@Sarnia, I vaguely remember a pig’s head being turned into brawn - must have been at a granny’s house. Also seeing pigs’ heads in butchers’ windows.

Funnily enough it was many years later that I realised that the ‘fromage de tete’ (cheese of head) we often saw fresh in French delis, or in jars in the supermarket, were basically pig’s head brawn by a fancier name.

I have to say that one dd loves it!
I have no personal objection to it, since if you’re going to kill an animal for food, it’s surely only sensible and ethical to use as much of it as possible.

I like most foods, but I cannot stomach barley in any shape or form, even though I can't remember what it tastes like. It goes back to when I was aged 6 and my friend accidentally knocked my loose front tooth down my throat. Since that day the sight of barley reminds me of teeth and I relive that incident!

Cherrytree59 Sat 23-Jan-21 14:41:02

School milk put me off drinking milk for life .
Cold in coffee fine or added to a recipe fine .
Warm milk even in coffee, or drinking chocolate is ?

Basil
Nuts
Offal
Olives, but love bread dipped in a really nice Virgin olive oil.

I like fish and the flavour of kippers, but can't stand the thought of fish bone in my mouth.
If discover even one bone
in a filleted fish, I'm afraid the whole meals goner.
