it turns out that the publicity shy couple were so keen on privacy that they didnt even want the £38 million wedding we were forced into paying for them, blimey, they could have said something earlier, like before the public coughed up a fortune for security, A list celeb guests and more melodrama than an x factor sob story, they are now claiming they wanted none of that because " it didnt feel like their day ", but they went through it anyway, bless em. They told Oprah that they actually had a private exchange of vows three days before, just the two of them were present as well as the archbishop of canterbury - perfectly normal behaviour, , now that they have aired all their laundry in public to the whole world, they are off to work on that private life they claim to crave, At least until the next big interview comes up

This is the link www.channel5.com/show/katharine-the-compassionate-duchess

Just scroll down and you will see a box that says Watch Now.

Hope that helps.

Can you get My5? If you can it is in the documentaries section. If not do it on the computer, I tried earlier and it was the first thing in their documentaries section. I'll go back and get a link if it helps.

theworriedwell Sun 21-Nov-21 15:00:17

Yes just tried it, it is on My5. If you can't get it on your tv you can do it on the computer.

Grayling

That's annoying Anniebach! I have read quite a bit about her and she has led an interesting life and would seem to have found peace and happiness in it.

It was on channel 5, The Compassionate Duchess. I think you can watch it on My5.

It was indeed a sensitive portrayal of the Duchess of Kent.
What grieves me now, as it did then, is to see what a lonely and sad view of her at Harry's wedding.
I have no problem with the trainers, if that gives her reassurance in walking, then great.
But why, oh why, could not someone from the Royal family not take her arm and lead her to her seat with dignity? Not a member of the Royal household, I presume, who did?
There's enough youngsters to step up to the plate?‍♀️

First thing my mother would've said to us - 'Just make sure someone looks after Auntie Ethel at the service'!

Weren't her children there? I'd have thought she'd be with them so maybe not.

It isn’t on Catch Up

Grayling Sun 21-Nov-21 13:03:14

Can I ask what the title of the programme was on Channel 5? I can't seem to find it on Catch up TV.

Thank you maddy

maddyone Sun 21-Nov-21 11:21:59

Channel 5 Annie.

Anniebach Sun 21-Nov-21 10:59:54

maddyone which channel please ?

Yes, I am an admirer of Katherine Kent, met her several times
when we worked for the same charity .

maddyone Sun 21-Nov-21 10:45:12

Just to say, I watched the programme about Katharine Kent last night. I knew a little about her, courtesy of Anniebach on various threads. Anyway, I just wanted to say she comes across as a lovely, warm caring person, who used her royal status to do much good.

maddyone Fri 19-Nov-21 10:10:48

Haven’t seen the interview but it’s just being discussed on The Jeremy Vine show now.

Josianne Fri 19-Nov-21 07:13:43

Hmmm, what an odd interview.

maddyone Thu 18-Nov-21 10:44:30

Just seen a very short clip on The Jeremy Vine show.

maddyone Thu 18-Nov-21 10:37:33

GrannyGravy thank you, I didn’t realise it’s today. I don’t watch GMB so I didn’t know the timing. I expect it will be in the news later today or by tomorrow.

The Guardian has reported that Meghan has done an interview with an American talk show hostess by the name of Ellen DeGeneres, which will be televised later this week in America.

It’s being aired today in America, clips have been shown on GMB this morning.

Josianne Thu 18-Nov-21 10:24:27

Here we go again! That didn't take long.
It brings us right back to the OP's last sentence; where's the privacy they craved?

maddyone Thu 18-Nov-21 10:17:18

I don’t know if it will be shown in the UK but I expect whatever she says will be reported here.

Germanshepherdsmum Thu 18-Nov-21 10:06:49

That gives us something to look forward to then! A bit more of ‘her truth perhaps.?

Great quote from your GP. I suspect nowadays the poor chap would be in very hot water for being so honest!!

He looked very much like Omar Sharif, when looking into his beautiful brown eyes it was hard to take offence. grin

Ali08 Wed 17-Nov-21 13:16:16

Sparklefizz,
Likewise. She seems very controlling, likes to have HER say!
Poor Harry, but he chose to marry her and emigrate, and now I feel he is very much under her thumb!!!
And they should not be using the royal titles!
